How long will it take Rep. Patrick McHenry to beg Limbaugh for forgiveness?

TIME Magazine: Republicans in the Wilderness: Is the Party Over?
The most urgent question is the meaning of economic conservatism. Representative Patrick McHenry of North Carolina, a conservative who keeps a bust of Reagan on his desk, surprised me by declaring that the Reagan era is over. "Marginal tax rates are the lowest they've been in generations, and all we can talk about is tax cuts," he said. "The people's desires have changed, but we're still stuck in our old issue set."
I give it one day. Once Rush mentions it on the radio, McHenry will be bowing and scraping before his altar.

Yep, it's just a matter of time. If he really wanted to make a name for himself he would state publicly that there is no way in hell he will apologize to Rush or anyone else
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
You could hear the ripping sound of thousand Republicans at their seams, getting even more divided up.
I'm more curious to when this nancy boy is going to come clean on his life membership in the Larry Craig,Mark Foley Dance Academy. It's one thing to live in the closet, but another to snipe gays from that hiding place. Miserable gooper swine.
would be for Rush Limbaugh and the Rethuglicants in Congress to commit suicide enmass.
That was connected to some murder in Florida? It was his boyfriend or friend of a boyfriend that killed two people.
Uh oh Boss limbaugh is not going to be pleased.
You will never solve a problem till you recognize you have one. Recognition is a step. Whether he holds out against the Fat Boy in Blinders is going to portend the future for the Repugs. I am a liberal who believes in the two party system. Currently we don't have that. What we have is one party with a nasty petulant opponent with no input. if things continue the 2010 cycle will unbalance things even more.
Politics is ugly
... not that Republicans dutifully kiss Limbaugh's ass on everything from conservative values to Limbaugh's role, but:
Future GOP President: ... and we are committed to seeking a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
Limbaugh: We don't need diplomacy! We need to bomb these savages into the Stone Age!
Future GOP President: BOMB THEM! LAUNCH THE NUKES! RUSH IS RIGHT! BOMB! BOMB! BOMB! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
Limbaugh will have probably already died of natural causes before the next GOP president is elected.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
We should be so lucky.
Rush Limbaugh died long ago. Doctors resuscitated the pilonoidal cyst thinking no one would notice the difference ...
don't threaten us with a good time!!
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
LOL
if we contacted McHenry with a show of support for his position..1.800.828.0498....limpbow will try to brow beat him but it could turn things upside down for him if McHenry had vast trackable support...That could prove useful...Get behind the brave..Call- write- email ---Cut off the blowhards!
right?

McHenry hasn't stuck his neck out very far, but he's made at least a small effort. No one has to become a member of his fan club, but why would it be a bad thing to let him know that this effort was noticed, and that people support him in it?
It's called positive reinforcement.
biggest hypocrite on the Hill, and crawls across the aisle to kiss Pelosi's ass. Until then he is a Tom Foley class creep and enemy of people.
his next appearance on fuxnoise.

If Rush is so big, why doesn't he run the GOP or better yet, run for Congress. Oh right...he only cares about money.
All the help he's given to the GOpers. All that work getting all of those people elected last November. The GOP couldn't have done it without him.
For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone listens to that talking POS.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
I can already anticipate Limp-Dicks zipper coming down slowly and Patty Boy waiting patiently.
Damn, that's a horrible mental image this early in the day. :(
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
limpy won't say a word till there is a avenue of money in it. Remember he said at one of his paid speaking engagements the whole money mess is not hurting him one bit. He can even buy a better soap box to stand on...
Indeed. I'm sure he's relieved that he isn't mention in Kirby Dick's "Outrage." But there are so many closeted gay Republicans it's hard to keep track of them all.
Everybody can smell the stench of the rotting, dying GOP.
Why is anyone, including these repug morons, scared of the fat one?
... inevitable consequence of relying on the Pustule to deliver the daily dose of brainwashing to your 'base.'
Now, the 'base' can only think in accordance with what the Pustule says. So you don't dare speak out against the Pustule.
is rooted in Judaeo-Christian psycho-emotive history since the early hunter blatherer societies. It explains why women got left with the laundry and men got left with the trash.

... since there's very little written about Christ Jesus' childhood - we DO know, however, that he was often in the company of his mother.
Joseph seems to be an absentee dad.
Jesus is often depicted in a crisply laundered robe and immacualtely done hair.

Western artists have done a great disservice to Christians by depicting him as a Westerner and not as a Jew from what is now the Middle East.

Whether you or I believe it or not, the Christian tradition teaches that Joseph is not Jesus' father- God is.
Joseph played his role in getting the pregnant Mary to Bethlehem, and then getting Mary and Jesus out of the country when Herod ordered the slaughter of all the potential messiahs. He taught Jesus his earthly trade. But after that, Joseph serves no purpose in the story.
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust.
resent the diminishment of Joe the Carpenter in the Christian narrative. He may not have been the father, but surely he was the only one baby Jeeb's called "Dad."

the last gasps of a dying Party. We have to be even more vigilant now.
and I don't know who is more embarassing: Virginia Foxx or this closet case McHenry
I can say at least Helms is gone.
I thought it was where Sir Francis and Alan Keyes wrote the lyrics to Cackalacka Choo Choo, freeing us from the tyranny of Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas.

Zero credibility.
... see a framed quote, which highlights a famous person's ideals or beliefs (or casts a humorous light on a foible of politics/leadership in order to convey the lesson of humility).
But a bust? That's an icon that can represent a myth as well as historical substance.
The real tragedy of it all, there's no punchline other than McHenry's constituents who elected someone that won't stand up to bullies.
How can they expect him to tackle the bigger dogs in the yard, if he yields to the one little dog that constantly barking from across the yard and on the other side of the fence?
Sorry North Carolina you've elected a wuss.

A. Patrick hasn't cratered yet.
B. Based on your earlier teachings, I believe Rush is an ape, not a dog.

Before Patrick caves... it's almost as certain as death and taxes...
If you're a republican and you cross Rush, you have to beg for his forgiveness or simply say "I misspoke".
Rush is an ape, but sometimes another metaphor is just as good.
I thought it was a rather clever metaphor.

I'm hoping that rush is in the Outing movie ;)
What will be great is that Rush has booted a lot of repubs, when he finds out that the remaining members are gay, he'll have to either embrace gay rights or start stumping for the John Birch Society.
Does Rush have matching collars for all his GOP lapdogs? Or does he allow them a bit of individuality by letting them wear different colors and styles?
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
I have to grudgingly admit McHenry is spot on in this assessment.
Here comes Rush...and he's carrying a rolled up newspaper.
"Heel boy...HEEL!"
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
And one of aids said that he will stand up to anything that the BOSS throws at him. He told me that he is not afraid of him. Lets wait and see.
say it in the media.
McHenry will be Rush's bitch before afternoon drive on the East Coast.
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
Good. He shouldn't be afraid. Rush has no power. As I've said many time Limbaugh has been against John McCain for years but couldn't stop him from being reelected in AZ or from winning the Republican nomination for Prez. Why these Rep politicians are so afraid of him is a mystery to me.
WhyWhat these Rep politicians are so afraid of him is a mystery to me.Hmmm...reality? Coherence? Facts?
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
I know my stop watch is running.
is Rush's nutsack slapping against McHenry's chin yet?
Vote GOP and move forward to the 18th Century.
and believe in don't ask, don't tell in the rank and file
gotta keep that base
thanks rush
Wow. A Republican actaully making sense. I'm shocked. Even more shocking: He's telling the truth.
Yeah, I was thinking that he may be on the heels of Specter but I'm not sure we would want him He carries a lot of baggage. Hummmmmmm
Oh wow, I just got here. Has McHenry apologized yet?
Unless he mentions talk radio or Limbaugh specifically, McHenry wont be forced to apologize.
Its all about Limbaugh's ego...in fact, Democrats should go after him because his base isnt getting elected anyway. Limbaugh is trying to force himself to be untouchable, as opposed to Jon Stewart who's untouchable because he's a comedian and straight-up about who he is and what he does (and, while were at it, Michael J Fox, who's untouchable not because of his condition, but because...well...try to find someone whos said something bad about him...not his one political issue...but i mean HIM).
Kill the voice of reason! Stifle dissent! Waterbaord the SOB!
Show him who's Boss. And get on with the
ListeningTeachingPropaganda Tour. This is an interesting development, because Patrick McHenry has long been a complete slimeball. A few years back, Washington Monthly did a good piece on him. He was lying to and screwing over his own constitutents to suck up to the GOP party leadership. Is he having trouble with his elections these days?
I'll bet Patrick McClosety spends a lot of times on his knees so it will take him even less time to apologize to Rush.

By the party who doesn't like genetically engineering. Cheney's group came into states like MN and let loose the organisms of change. We had GOOD Republicans representing our state. It was a good balance of power. Pretty soon those good Republicans were gone. I believe the cheney group came in and said "We have dirt. Go away or we kick it up." And the good Republicans not needed that hell in their life went away.
The Time Mag speaks of the winds of change and just a few years ago someone wrote the book 'One Party Country' I think that was the name of it. Anyway...this is the difference. Those books were simply written to sell. There was no value in those books. They were there as a testament for the disciples.
I believe that the Democrats are frightened by this place they have been put into. They understand the need for balance. They are creating change for a country in need of great change at a time when there is no counterbalance. They have to create their own balance and they have dumbasses standing next to them on Capital Hill with nothing to say but complete bullshit. I resent the Republican Party for their lack of common sense and respect for the office. I resent them for damage the heaped upon the world by their grab for power and money when they were in a role of responsibility.
