LIMBAUGH: Look at this. From Iran's press television, the state-run media in Iran: Ahmadinejad gains votes in recount, just like in our country! It had -- just like in our country. Norm Coleman wins in Minnesota in a recount, and they keep having recounts, and Al Franken wins. So they had the recount in Iran, and shazzam! Ahmadinejad gained votes!
Hmmm, what to say, what to say. Are we all living in Iran now?

The first recount was triggered automatically due to the small margin separating the vote tallies. That first recount and all subsequent recounts put Franken in the lead.

in 2008 she was re-elected by a plurality, not a majority. The majority of the voters here in MN-6 did not vote for her. She received only 46.41% of the vote, the remainder was split between El Tinklenberg(43.43%), Bob Anderson(10.04%) and write-in candidates(0.11%). She's the poster child for runoff voting (instant or otherwise).
And, yes, we seem to have more than our share of morons here (check out some of the chat responses at the St. Cloud Times Web site for a clue as to just how many we have around here), but do not label all of us "complete morons".

Limpbaugh has it wrong (contain your shock). Akmejinidad was declared the winner (even before the polls closed) and they are recounting votes in select areas.
In Minnesota, THE EXACT OPPOSITE happened; Coleman was the initial leader, but the margin was so small it triggered an automatic recount, which Franken won, and has prevailed in court case after court case.
Perhaps in "backwards world" Rush is correct.

I noticed once when reading the Rush page on Wiki that he has two relatives (an uncle and a cousin or something) who are currently serving as federal judges in his home state of Missouri.
One was appointed to the bench by Ronny Raygun, the other by George the Lesser. I guess it's good to have friends (and relatives) in high places.
I also heard the Gateway Arch was built in Missouri so Rush would have a doorway big enough to get through. Apparently the only way they could get him to leave the state was to leave a trail of Oxycontin through it.
