…the Obama administration has made clear that it embraces the Latin American consensus that the coup was an illegitimate transfer of power. "Mexico, Central and Latin America already had taken a position on the elections. We were only missing the United States. Now in light of these statements, the entire continent is condemning these elections under the de facto regime," Zelaya said.

Outrageous Behavior: Bogus Bluster From Bigwigs Hides Lockerbie Truth
The Supreme Court on September 9 hears a case, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, that reopens the question of unlimited corporate money in our elections. In a stunning move, the Court will reach back and reconsider two other pivotal campaign finance cases settled long ago. The potential result? A century-old pillar of campaign finance doctrine could be swept away.
.. and an important campaign finance case comes up while the likes of Roberts, Scalia, and Alito ride the Supreme Court bench. How convenient. It's no mystery who they will favor in any fight between Big Money and the "mythical" little guy.
a very good suggestion. First, we need to scare the hell out of people about how corporations want legislation to farm organs for themselves to make them more human like. Those bottom feeders should fall for that one!
The Bill Moyers Journal covered this well with this week's program. His editorial at the end was good also.
If the amounts of corporate campaign money can't be controlled, how about the times it can be given? Limit the donating to within six months before the election. Maybe one year for Presidential and Senatorial races.
For instance, one 6 year term for the president. No more worrying about funding your next run. Get in, do the work, get out. Same for the congress. One is the limit. How many years in a term is the question for them. I think four would be good. Lifetime appointments, which is how some of this works out, should be out completely and permanently. And, your benefits, like health insurance, end when your term ends. Welcome to the real world. Oh, I almost forgot. NO corporate campaign contributions. Let's see how many are willing to provide actual public service when the profit motive is taken out of the equation.
What strikes me is that the USofBLOODYISRAEL is notorious world-wide for it's 'regime changes'. It is also public knowledge in all of central and south America. That is exactly what Chavez/Castro are trying to fight while being demonized by the PROPAGANDAPRESS as 'leftist monsters' another CIA project is to 'eliminate' Chavez who knows the score as does Castro. The fact that the (P)resident was supposed to be Hillary and that her fingerprints are all over this coup is instructive in why she got rejected.
And, EXCUSE ME!!! no one will ever get me to turn my head about torture. I think we need to torture each person connected with it from BUSH/CHENEY all the way to the end.
My wife received a robocall from the Vista, CA Unified School District today informing her that if she wished for our son to NOT view the speech by president Obama she may so so by sending a note with him to school on Tuesday.
Needless to say, I will be making a call to the district on Monday to let them know just how racist this action is.
Did the robot say because he is black? Please explain the racist part? If you don't want your child to view a state run announcement then you should have the right to refuse.
Racist? Are you sure? I am half Mexican and have two half black sons. Go against a black president and you will be called a racist. AND YOU KNOW IT!.....Maybe you should not be so presumptuous and resorting to name calling does not help anything.
socialist? omg when did this happen? You said it comrade not me. I think it is a lot of reasons and yes some of it racism. I don't think that is why the school sent the robo message though. Do you really think every one that disagrees with the current admin is a racist?
No, because I disagree with a lot of what they are doing.
I refer to Obama as a socialist because that is the excuse that the bigots use. Obama is far from being a socialist and they know it.
Charles my kids are grown and no longer go to school. To tell you the truth I don't know if I would keep them out or not. When my kids did go to school if I felt the need to keep them home a day then I would do so without a second thought. You know Chuck that my oldest son graduated summa cum laude and had a full ride to UT in Austin. I am very proud of that and he did it even while missing an odd day or two. Further more my kids learned about work ethic and the value of a hard days work by example not by any state run indoctrination starter speech.
I really don't know how to prove to you the ethnicity of my children or even if I have any. I guess you will have to take my word for it. So okay I will admit it just to make you happy I am a racist I burn crosses in front yards when I am not dining with the grand wizard of the KKK. NOT! Are you kidding me? Entire half of my family are Mexican including my father Savanna can you get that thru you thick headed skull? Mexican! We make chicken mole and home made hot sauce. My two oldest sons are half B-L-A-C-K. I do not feel like a racist. The reasons I disagree with the president have nothing to do with his skin color that would make me a hypocrite being a person of color myself now would it not? I disagree with his policy and way far left leaning stance. After all Nancy Pelosi makes me want to puke and she is as white as the Christmas snow.
White presidents have addressed students in the past with nary a wimper, and they have pushed their political agendas. The only difference here is this president's race. What other conclusion can be drawn. Don't give me that half-Mexican bullshit. An apologist is an apologist and that is exactly what you are!
After consideration of Ron's statement @ 22:27, I agree that it would be counterproductive to call up a school district and use the term racists. But I feel that I can temper the message and they will still know what I'm saying.
of two uninsureds yesterday, one has been in ICU for a week ($6,000/day), the other was hit in the head with a hammer (treated it at home for a while). Took care of a patient with Medicaid the previous week, should have had an MRI, but it wasn't even offered until the mother said that she was coming to our facility (they live out of state). Mother asked me if they didn't do the MRI because of the Medicaid, I told her I hoped that wasn't so (thought it probably was).
To all the assholes out there that think you can simply eat right and exercise and avoid any health issues, you're deluded. My father's a poster boy for that and he has chronic lymphocytic leukemia. He's really quite healthy otherwise, good blood pressure, boderline diabetes (I question his physician's prescriptions and the diagnosis)no other major health issues save an appendectomy when he was a child.
Just because you have insurance doesn't mean they can't deny your claims, change your policy and/or render your policy canceled. We are being held hostage by a bunch of greedy bastards and it needs to change.
Disclaimer: I am an occasional user of Canada's healthcare system so are probably biased but agree with the folks in the clip.
Even though I have not had any serious health issues myself, my family and friends who have needed care, received it and never had any problems like what you face in the States.
I have had friends in both Canada and Austrailia who struggled horribly with health care issues. The American people need to realize that although, if run correctly, government ran healthcare can be good. BUT! In reality it won't be a cure all. Look at how the rest of the country's issues are being run. Americans should not be fooled into thinking that our politicians will make our healthcare right over night. Some people will have to endure the same nightmare that some are experiencing now. I have never had a problem with healthcare as it is now. But many have! The problems will be the same and we will be subject to the decisions of greedy politicians. I am not sure which is worse!!
I'm Canadian. Tell me the horrible struggle your friend had with our healthcare, or I simply won't believe you.
Our healthcvare has been serving my family, and extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins) our entire lives. It is affordable and each and every one of us give it an A+.
bullshit. Medicare is working just fine. Thank you for your phony concern, though. It is the greedy health insurance industry that we have a problem with. You must frame the proper argument before you try to make your points. You are way out of your league. Go to Fox Nation where your misinformation will be appreciated.
As I recall from a section of Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" ..
When Universal Education became compulsory in the late 1800's many Sherriffs and their Deputies were killed while attempting to compel parents to send their children to public schools.
'President Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School. For all my Republican friends out there, magna cum laude is a Latin term meaning “with great praise”. Please turn to your Stepford wives and tell them it’s not something you can order on the all-you-can-eat menu at The Olive Garden.'
wish I had said that, it's perfect. Anyone that thinks the man didn't work hard and strive is deluded. My kids are older, one is an adult, and the other is almost 16, but I would be honored to have Obama speak to them about anything. I think he would be an interesting chat.
One thing I've noticed about myself (and others like me) as I approach the age of 60 is how really honest I have become. I attribute it to "just not giving a shit anymore" but truthfully it runs deeper than that. When the years behind you are less than the years ahead, you finally can say without regret or pardon; "Cut The Bullshit! I've heard enough for TWO lifetimes!"
schoolchildren threads and add to it, if believing in education makes one a Marxist, then call me a proud Marxist.
I was telling ysb how I was in elementary school when Cesar Chavez, and since I live in Delano, CA, I had the opportunity to attend the funeral, and wanted to, but my parents and grandparents insisted I go to school instead; that it was the way to honor Chavez' memory, etc. My grandfather was a member of the UFW, so this was important to me, but I understood. Grandpa was one of the ones insisting I go to school.
The last conversation I had with him was him telling me to work hard now that I was starting my first semester of college. It was important to him; he was illiterate, and not by choice like these Rethug knuckledraggers.
And to see idiot Rethug grandparents vowing to force truancy on their grandchildren the day of Obama's speech for such stupid shit... The mind boggles.
I believe some people hate Obama, and anyone considered the demon liberal, will keep there kids home. Stay in school and work hard may be something they have tried to convey to their kids, and god help them if they actually agree with something Obama says. Best to not take a chance and confuse the little ones. It isn't the message, it's the messenger.
right. Then again some Re-Pigs are concerned that Obama will encourage everyone to stay in school, including minorities. The Pigs prefer an ignorant populace - easier to manipulate.
I assisted on an open appendectomy yesterday on a cash paying patient (no insurance-his appendix had ruptured). I will not be billing for my assist, because insurances don't pay for assists on appy's anyway. I was there just waiting for another case to start. What was I going to do? Sit in the lounge while the surgeon struggled with a ruptured appendix?
I've never agreed with that practice of not paying the assist, as we well know, sometimes you need all the hands/help you can have. I regularly receive patients from PACU that are recovering poorly after surgery, for one reason or another.
Some op's need only two skilled hands. I accept that. But even otherwise "minor" surgeries can undergo fecal metamorphosis (turn to shit), especially in obese or frail patients.
As we used to say when on call, "It only takes one patient to screw up your whole night."
time in the OR, would like to move in that direction perhaps, but it seems like I'm getting a lot of patients that were on the edge to begin with, probably hypoxic going into surgery (smokers with upper respiratory infections, etc.). Seems like we have lots of those "one patient" days lately, I'm in a neurological ICU, a stroke unit, but lately they've been giving us whatever they have from ER, the floor or PACU and then we have to scramble whenever we get someone that should actually be there: stroke, crani, status epilepticus, etc. We are all turning into cardiac nurses (not a bad thing, but we have neuro intensivists and set orders for our neuro patients).
As an aside, can you tell me at what HIDA scan ejection fraction you will perform a cholycystectomy?
Is the last weekend for the Bristol Wisconsin Renaissance Faire.
Also - It's Irish Days in Beautiful Historic Long Grove, Illinois - There will be food, vendors, best legs/kilt contest and lots of music (my daughter will be playing ...) - the wonderful shops will be open.

I'll be visiting WI in 2 weeks for my nephew's wedding. Have to pack for both hot and cold. I hope the leaves are turning. I also hope to see a T-storm. I miss those.
and all the other neat town and cities in that part of Illinois. I miss the truly wonderful fall rides into Wisconsin to pick apples. I miss the fall colors of the midwest and the gently rolling hills. Your comment just made me realize I get homesick, especially in the fall.
Fall is the best time of the year and, for me, the most nostalgic. It was gorgeous in Ontario, and also Korea. Prague is getting fall starting right now, it seems. It always reminds me of going back to university too, which I loved.
1. Do you really believe in the teachings of Christ?
2. Why do you think big pharma and the health insurance industry are spending $1,300,000 a day to fight healthcare reform. Do you really think a profit driven industry has your best interests in their mind?
3. One of the biggest questions. Why would you not have your children listen to a speech from the President of the United States of America? You can listen to it yourself and discuss it with your children. Even if you may disagree, wouldn't it be better to discuss why you disagree?
4. Have you ever considered that when you hear almost verbatim from your favorite news source, the exact talking points that they may be trying to brainwash you? I know that you are too intelligent to be brainwashed but has it occurred to you that they may be trying? They are corporate and they spend tons of money trying to get their message across and there must be a reasson.
2)They do it to stay in business, and no they don't have my best interests in mind. But I'll add to my answers, why is govt trying to force a 1000 page bill through without reading it? And I don't believe govt had my best interests in mind either. I'd rather deal with a business that I can choose not to support with my money, than a govt where I have no choice.
3)I haven't heard that I can listen to it. Do you have the channel it would be on I would be interested in seeing it. And yes I agree it would be better to discuss it with my children, but I would prefer to discuss it as it happens (gotta love dvr with pause) rather than have them hear it and perhaps their teachers reinforcing the message before I get a chance to weigh in on it to with my child.
4)Yes I have, which is why I try to view a wide source of information, such as this site I actually see more news with a liberal bias than I do with a conservative bent. And orgs such as move-on or acorn aren't corporate? Do you honestly believe the big-wigs aren't in it for the money for the most part?
I dont't see you checking out everything in the textbooks or see you in class everyday to make sure the teacher doesn't reinforce other messages. You waant to control your child's thoughts and not let that child form their own opinions. In other words, you could get a copy and still discuss it with your child on your own time.
Many conservatives do just that. When they become too uncomfortable with the messages in the textbooks they home school and use textbooks printed by conservative home schooling press.
Google: BJU press, A Beka books, for the two big SE conservative Christian text book presses.
Yesirrreee , the good old USA , home to the dumbest people on the entire planet . I watched a town hall meeting on C span that was taking place in West Virginia I believe it was , those people were so dumb that if I had not witnessed it myself I would not have believed it . "The Dems favor abortion because they want to keep the population down and keep all of the money for themselves and if they get hold of our health care Grandma and every one else is gonna die ." A lot of people in this country should not be allowed to vote , they are too friggin dumb , seriously ! In fact I am beginning to think that the American people are too dumb for this so called "Democracy" to work any more .
..doesn't make one a racist. But when I hear some people making the claim that Obama isn't qualified to be President, they have given themselves away. Here's a man who was a U.S. Senator and a Professor of Constitutional Law, fer chrissake! The only reason their pathetic brains deem him "unqualified" is because of his race - despite their Nixonian cries of, "I am NOT a racist!"
The question was why was the phone call a racist action but I must ask to disagree with the president does not make one a racist but questioning his qualifications does? Why does being a senator for 143 days make anyone qualified to be president? I mean "fer chrissake" ted kennedy was there for almost 50 years. and as far as being a Professor of Constitutional Law I guess so in that he was a Senior Lecturer that taught three courses per year. I think some full track professors may take exception with this. Matters not though he is the president now. Black, white or green he had better do a good job for the American people.
Your right in that the bigots are single minded in their agenda but to call everyone that does not think like you a racist because it is a convenient moniker is just as single minded if not worse.
True. I didn't realize anyone had done that. [could be a straw man argument]. I think republican critisizm has been deserved. I think conservative critisizm is deserved. I think it's important for any right-leaning individuals to make certain they are not misunderstood - to make sure they distance themselves from the bigots. So far they have not, so what is one to think of that?
Well, i think the Republicans are a hot bed of bogotry. so far that is the knowable truth. It's up to the Republican leadership to turn that ship around, but if you ask me they don't have the integrity to pull it off. Apparently most Republican party leaders are bigots too, so it's just about hopeless. The Republicans are an illness.
When you say you did not realize that anyone did I found it a little hard to believe. That exact thing happened in this very thread. Do you see how fast Uncle Joe Mccarthy up there resorted to calling me a racist bastard when I only asked what about the phone call from the school. That is a shining example of "someone doing that" and I for one think it naive to say you don't realize that goes on in the division between left and right. So are you telling me I need to make a open statement that I am not a bigot in order not to be called one (not that I care) unless I am obviously left leaning in which I could not possibly be one? I don't agree with everything the Right does and a most defintly do not agree with the driction the far left wants to go. So someone like myself gets caught up in the middle execpt that the extreams on both sides have built up the fence so high there is no sitting on it and some fell forced to choose sides. Calling me a racist when I am not helps nothing. for what it's worth.
You dress yourself up like a harlot and then feign outrage when your virtue is questioned. Your few weeks on this site comprise little more than anti-immigrant screeds, thinly veiled racism, and a host of "Oh, how dare you accuse me of [blank]".
Yeah, we can check that. Methinks the little troll doth protest too much.
You called me a racist before you knew who you were talking to chump and you did so not because you really thought that I was or not but as a stepping stone to discredit me and bolster support for yourself from the minority members of this site. Do you think it worked? What about chicano2nd or Edwin do you guys really think I am a racist? Are you guys even capable of admitting when you are wrong? Now that is the second time you called me a bastard so I guess that makes you twice as right. Uncle Joe what makes you think I would leave the board because you wanted me to? I am here to stay get used to it. So put you mothers wig back on and walk away.
Try being honest if you want your opinions to be considered. Understand that? You spout political pornography. You are baiting people to amuse yourself. In the immortal words of Tyler Durden, "Don't feed the trolls."
Savannah what is it that you think I am being dishonest about? I really don't understand. That I have half black kids? I do both boys and both grown. Both have kids of their own. I love them. That I am a racist? I am not. Can you take that in? Some here may really believe that I am but I think most just say so to discredit me not even caring if I am or if I am not. These are the problem people because with their kind there are no "opinions to be considered". I am not a troll just because my comment history only goes back a few weeks. Not everything is as it seems. Not if you are calling me a lair about something now is a good chance to say so.
I may have left it out but intentionally. I am aware he served three terms as a state senator as well as being a U.S. Jr. Senator but I never really held his qualifications in question. I think he is a remarkable person. All afore mentioned and a Harvard grad too, He is a remarkable person. That does not mean he is doing a good job as President though. I think that you are wrong about the phone calls and people keeping kids home from school. Of course there are racist people in this country and some will go against anything The President does solely for that reason and others will do anything he says for the same reason. I think that there are more still that are opposed to the principle of an Orwellian type state using public schools to convey messages to their children. Yes this message has an innocent theme but throughout history some of the most hideous atrocities started out with mundane and seemingly good intentions. Not everyone who opposes this does so because of skin color.
Just remember the 3 main criteria’s needed for becoming the next -Tool Boy- for the Rabid Lunatic Base:
1) Make sure to argue and spout senseless crap (use Latin to pretend you have a point to a baseless argument )
2) Repetition is the key to saving a lot of time and dedication otherwise needed to produce a REAL thought or idea.
3) Get cheap sunglasses (preferably from the dollar store) and white out your name on it (Tool Boy)
Try waking up and smelling the coffee. expand your f**** mind will ya...Obama has you ppl NUTS....God forbid he tells your kids to stay in school....get a grip!!!!
An appeals court says Ass-crack can be liable for wrongful detainment of people as "witnesses" after 9/11. Speaking of wrongfully imprisoned, Texas has to pay people in jail who were exonerated with DNA testing $80,000 a year for every year they spent in prison. Iran claims any of our documents on their nuclear programs are likely to be forged. Rob Gibbs mocks conservative outrage over Obama making motivational speech to our nation's school-children. Why is there more outrage to that than to forcing kids to "pray", read the Ten Commandments, or recite the Pledge of Allegiance with the "one nation" line? Palindrone's exit cost taxpayers $40,000. Will Dems show some back-bone on Afghanistan? Gates cares more about a leaked photo of one of our troops suffering from battle scars than the battle which gave him the scars in the first place. More than 10% of the elderly could be poor, while older Americans can't seem to retire. And over a million Americans could lose their jobless benefits by the end of the year. Obama finally opens up the logs on energy industry visits. Cops shoot a fire chief over parking tixx. James Hoffa is no Jimmy Hoffa when it comes to solidarity over the public option. People with relatives in Cuba can finally visit and send money at any time they want. Joe Biden's a shittycheerleader. A better economy won't stop the job losses. In fact, we're at the worst rate of unemployment since Reagan's first term. Our enemy in Afghanistan's small but smart.
by now that "stupid" is not fatal or we would have a much smaller population in this country. Fifty years ago I received many, many death threats in the mail because of a one sentence letter to the editor I sent......it concerned the problems of schools at that time...........the letter said: If we left it up to the children, we wouldn't have a problem.
I don't think a lot has changed in those 50 years......was just being hidden. It is all now coming out in the open. They can say all they want about NOT being racist, but they really have no other reason, and they know it.
The one about a "being a servant to President Obama." I've got to be honest and say that watching them say that was a bit creepy for me and I'm a supporter. Just imagine what that's doing to every whack job out there, getting them poumped up and fired up is what it's doing.
Nice idea that went horribly wrong. I think there's a good chance this will do more harm than good.
Part of the Repigs madness is that they consider the president as some kind of supreme leader. The reality is that the president knows who he works for, and he's just asking the children to help out improving education.
True but what's that got to do with whether it is well advised for anyone who wants to see Obama succeed to include the line "being a servant to President Obama" in an ad?
Can't disagree with that
But the Guy's got enough to do without his own supporters providing the fringe wuth more ammo to get them more riled up.
I'm not too keen on how things "should be", in my line of work you are either focused on the "what is" or you're not going to make it growing things for a living. I've also never thought throwing gasoline on an already smoldering fire was a wise idea.
I wish people left of center could just quit shooting themselves in the collective foot.
... "a servant to President Obama" but not "to all mankind." Poor choice of words perhaps, but, as you said, the wack jobs will go overboard. Thanks for the perfect example.
Your link is kind of a giveaway. You should find one that isn't so, um, obvious.
From the info at the video:
BEWARE: Obama is going to present socialism in the Soviet style, where government ownership is always going to be this business arrangement between big business and big government.
Also, this is nothing compared to the "Bush is Jesus" crap we've been hearing for nearly the past decade. Try a detailed comparison.
But please, don't claim to be a supporter and then link to a tin foil hat video. It's really bad strategery to be worried about the "whack jobs" then look exactly like you might be one yourself. You're probably not, but it looks bad.
I live in a very red area of WA state. I have friends who are on the right. I spend a lot of time pointing out that the republican party is not the friend of those of us who work with soil for a living.
I asked one of those friends what he thought of these parents who don't want their children to watch President Obama speak to them at school. He said that Obama was going to have those kids "pledge allegiance" to him. I said that couldn't be possible and went to call my friend on his BS.
My Google search took me to that link, I didn't notice when it was made. I watched it and was horrified that at minute 3:19 some clown with tats says: "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama" then at 3:59 another fool says "I pledge to be a servant to our president."
There is nothing to be gained by saying "this is nothing compared to the "Bush is Jesus" crap we've been hearing." As I said Obama's got enough challenges without liberals feeding those on the right raw meat.
Perhaps you live in the land of liberals where everyone "understands" what is meant by statements like those two. In my world putting out ads like that one made back in Jan just makes it easier for FAUX News to feed the frenzy and makes it really hard for people like me to make any impact on the right center leaning members of my community.
As to being a whack job, there are those who'd agree with you, I've been called worse. But as someone who contributed to Obama's campaign, made calls, and organized functions on his behalf in my little right wing leaning community I'm not a right wing whack job so you can let that one go.
Bush was a sociopathic personality we all know that. So what's the big surprise that his supporters created crazy ass videos.
My point is that Obama supporters need to consider an audience larger than the true believers when they create ads and videos. What is so hard to get about that?
Concern trolling is when someone comments about the nature of the blog posts or comments on a thread. "OH NOES! Teh filthy libs is cursing!" Or, "This site does to many stories about Glen Beck, it's really going downhill."
I'd thought that concern trolling was more when someone pretends to agree with the overall philosophy of a site then expresses some "concerns." "I agree that universal health care should be our goal, but I have concerns about a government takeover of medicine." Anyway, that's how I meant it, and I'm still not sure Chicken Little-Not qualifies.
I'd just like to say that I love it when Newsmax ads appear on Crooks And Liars. I always take care to click on them when they do.
It costs Newsmax money,
It makes money for C&L,
And it makes Newsmax think they've scored a hit even though I close the tab without even looking at it.
You have a bunch of sore losers that don't want their children talked to by a black man that has been successful. That and the fact that republicans are insane!
republicanism is a mental illness!
has now stated it will have the records of Whitehouse visitors in full public display......well, except for those they don't want anyone to know about, and only 90 to 120 days after they visit, if they feel like sharing that info. Yeppers, even quoting "Bush did it" as the reasoning. That change will do you good.
What apparently REALLY upsets this right-wingnut section of the public is that here is an intelligent, educated black man who is now President of the United States telling their precious kids to study and work hard instead of being NASCAR-watching beer-sucking ignorant racist couch potatoes LIKE THEIR PARENTS.
over the fact that Obama has assigned the children to write letters to the White House. These connoseurs of tinfoil couture are afraid Obama will add them to some mailing list for his propaganda...
When I was in 3rd grade, we were required to send letters to Poppy Bush, and no one raised a stink over that. White House booklets about Millie the dog and such were sent to our teacher to give to us after that, and that was the end of it. No big deal. Same thing here.
Yet OMG, there's a Black man in the White House, and he's coming after our children!!!1
Edit - My memory is a bit fuzzy now, I *think* maybe, maybe, it was 5th grade, and that would make sense if it was, since it would coincide with Poppy Bush's big speech to schoolchildren in '91. I was in 3rd grade during '89-'90, and 5th grade '91-'92...

If I had to sum up my feelings afterwards, it would be disgust, and abject worry.
Disgust over how these people hide behind religion, and abject worry because these assholes have too much power, that "Family."
Hillary is a member, too. Right after her foray into the so-called Healthcare snafoo, she joined, remember????
My wife received a robocall from the Vista, CA Unified School District today informing her that if she wished for our son to NOT view the speech by president Obama she may so so by sending a note with him to school on Tuesday.
Needless to say, I will be making a call to the district on Monday to let them know just how racist this action is.
worse than that is all the idiots who want to keep their children at home because of it...
Did the robot say because he is black? Please explain the racist part? If you don't want your child to view a state run announcement then you should have the right to refuse.
were able to refuse Reagan and Bush I? Or any of the other politicians that show up at the schools from time to time.
Of course they were able. why would you think not?
and had they, they wouldve been called anti american...and you know it
you racist bastard
Racist? Are you sure? I am half Mexican and have two half black sons. Go against a black president and you will be called a racist. AND YOU KNOW IT!.....Maybe you should not be so presumptuous and resorting to name calling does not help anything.
Rick,
Do you really think all those people act so because he's a socialist?
C'mon.
socialist? omg when did this happen? You said it comrade not me. I think it is a lot of reasons and yes some of it racism. I don't think that is why the school sent the robo message though. Do you really think every one that disagrees with the current admin is a racist?
No, because I disagree with a lot of what they are doing.
I refer to Obama as a socialist because that is the excuse that the bigots use. Obama is far from being a socialist and they know it.
that you don't put more arrows in their quiver.
As if that would stop them.
As if it was ever a secret.
Obama is just like Clinton to them. With just one little difference. Thus the ratcheting up of the hate beyond what we have ever seen before. Why?
Seems you hope to see your kids to pulling a RickShaw soon. Maybe you can start them on that day off from school.
Republican than a Democrat!
Anyone can say anything when they will not have to prove it. At least admit what you are. You'll get a little respect for doing that.
Fuck with me. I dare you.
Would I have to wait in line with your 17 babies daddy's? I will pass. You always have the option just keep them out.
White presidents have addressed students in the past with nary a wimper, and they have pushed their political agendas. The only difference here is this president's race. What other conclusion can be drawn. Don't give me that half-Mexican bullshit. An apologist is an apologist and that is exactly what you are!
lets weed out the racist in the san diego area!
This has been making the rounds today.

Margaret and Helen
Michelle Bachmann’s Burning Bush. There’s a Pill for that!
This latin phrase comes to mind when I hear him speak. Vasa vana plurimum sonant
You think he's an empty pot? Kinda like a Ron Paul, or a Dick Cheney, which one is it?

I am not finding translations for some of these words.

Another great bookmark. I LMAO. Thanks.
It really is a most liberating feeling.
Ditto Jak . LOL
schoolchildren threads and add to it, if believing in education makes one a Marxist, then call me a proud Marxist.
Well, some people seem to be confusing "Marxism" with "not being a simpering knuckle-dragging arrogant ignorant fucknut".
Boocilla69,
I assisted on an open appendectomy yesterday on a cash paying patient (no insurance-his appendix had ruptured). I will not be billing for my assist, because insurances don't pay for assists on appy's anyway. I was there just waiting for another case to start. What was I going to do? Sit in the lounge while the surgeon struggled with a ruptured appendix?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ism9itDvKTk&fe...
As we used to say when on call, "It only takes one patient to screw up your whole night."
how the patient feels---that is if they are still alive. :)
time in the OR, would like to move in that direction perhaps, but it seems like I'm getting a lot of patients that were on the edge to begin with, probably hypoxic going into surgery (smokers with upper respiratory infections, etc.).
It's the internet. Either accept that he's a doctor, or don't. Don't test him.
link was nice, always great to hear good music.
The mother is speaking in a coherent sentence. I just can't suspend my disbelief that much.

Is the last weekend for the Bristol Wisconsin Renaissance Faire.
Also - It's Irish Days in Beautiful Historic Long Grove, Illinois - There will be food, vendors, best legs/kilt contest and lots of music (my daughter will be playing ...) - the wonderful shops will be open.

sounds awesome too bad it's so far away
And I hate summer clothes.
and I hope you can give some honest answers.
Thanks and I will wait for your ressponses.
1) Yes I do
2)They do it to stay in business, and no they don't have my best interests in mind.
In other words, you could get a copy and still discuss it with your child on your own time.
a conservative! A perpetual troll. Still remember his racist remarks too! But he will deny. Its their nature!
Many conservatives do just that. When they become too uncomfortable with the messages in the textbooks they home school and use textbooks printed by conservative home schooling press.
Google: BJU press, A Beka books, for the two big SE conservative Christian text book presses.
But I respect your right to have an opinion, even if it is wrong.
GNA! :)
In fact I am beginning to think that the American people are too dumb for this so called "Democracy" to work any more .
a lot of these people are so stupid, I'm surprised they've made it this far. They're too stupid to vote and breathe.
TPM has a video of Al Franken at the Minnesota Fair discussing healthcare costs and insurance reform. Josh called it The Tea Bag Whisperer.

Keith's deconstruction
Do you see em? Do you see em? There is one right there!
..doesn't make one a racist. But when I hear some people making the claim that Obama isn't qualified to be President, they have given themselves away. Here's a man who was a U.S. Senator and a Professor of Constitutional Law, fer chrissake! The only reason their pathetic brains deem him "unqualified" is because of his race - despite their Nixonian cries of, "I am NOT a racist!"
received some emails from one of those people and responded "not funny."
agreed. The only other answer is that all these people are real stupid, and that seems like a stretch.
I disagree. Most of these people wouldn't know if he was qualified or not, and normally wouldn't care - look at Bush!
Your point of view is one thing and you may have some facts right, but these facts do not matter to these bigots. It is an illness.
Verum vulnero.
Volenti non fit iniuria
Finally, an admission. No need to hide anymore. Be yourself.
Go away little troll.
Oh, and morsus mihi.
bite yourself
You dress yourself up like a harlot and then feign outrage when your virtue is questioned. Your few weeks on this site comprise little more than anti-immigrant screeds, thinly veiled racism, and a host of "Oh, how dare you accuse me of [blank]".
Yeah, we can check that. Methinks the little troll doth protest too much.
Have a nice day.
So what is this grand charade that you think I am performing? Maybe we have crossed paths before Fiver? Troll indeed. noman abstergo
Your ignorance is showing Rick Einstein...
because you do what all racists do
state facts, then leave out others because they do not fit your scenario in demeaning a man of color
a man of color who ran the most successful presidential campaign in history
you arent in the middle
you are a racist bastard
leave this board and go dance around your burning cross
Not if you are calling me a lair about something now is a good chance to say so.
nonnullus populus fake sollicitudo iaceo
your latin is as bad as my spanish. Your translator did not pick up fake it is falsus.. the word your looking for
Concern trolls lie. Clear enough, Einstein?
the fact remains, being a us senator for any period of time does not qualify anyone to be president
the constitution has the qualifications...that is not listed among them
im sorry...but the people behind the phone call...and the people behind keeping their children from watching the speech...are racists
But the spoiled, rich, frat boy, coke-head, boozehound, MBA business fuck-up, and all round general asshole was??
I reckon this is it. Nook-ya-ler combat, toe to toe with the Roos-kies.

"I think the self destruct system got hit and blew itself up."
Joe Biden's a shitty cheerleader.
The STUPID are the REPIGS, as evidenced by their comments.
It's a shame.
Sounds a touch like concern trolling.
Link please.
and no I'm not.
Here's the link, the line about serving Obama is towards the end. Please let me know what you think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwG5MhVGQ6k&NR=1
... "a servant to President Obama" but not "to all mankind." Poor choice of words perhaps, but, as you said, the wack jobs will go overboard. Thanks for the perfect example.
Your link is kind of a giveaway. You should find one that isn't so, um, obvious.
From the info at the video:
Also, this is nothing compared to the "Bush is Jesus" crap we've been hearing for nearly the past decade. Try a detailed comparison.
But please, don't claim to be a supporter and then link to a tin foil hat video. It's really bad strategery to be worried about the "whack jobs" then look exactly like you might be one yourself. You're probably not, but it looks bad.
made during the height of obama mania, by a bunch of nimrods who i am sure havent kept one pledge
what did i get out of that vid?
that i would still like to bang punks brewster and marisa tomei and ashton kutcher is a big douche
Stop me if you've heard this before...You're my hero :-)

Obama?
I REALLY believe you!
Pay back is a bitch.
He plans to make 401ks optional.
Hey GOP. You lost M****r f**kers.
Get a clue.
Hee he he. I like that one.
has now stated it will have the records of Whitehouse visitors in full public display......well, except for those they don't want anyone to know about, and only 90 to 120 days after they visit, if they feel like sharing that info.
Yeah! I'd rather have my kid learn by watching Fox News, thank you...

over the fact that Obama has assigned the children to write letters to the White House.
*sigh*
Tim Pawlenty was the idiot who brought that up:

Edit - My memory is a bit fuzzy now, I *think* maybe, maybe, it was 5th grade, and that would make sense if it was, since it would coincide with Poppy Bush's big speech to schoolchildren in '91. I was in 3rd grade during '89-'90, and 5th grade '91-'92...
