Still American oil there?
Correct me if I am wrong, but was there any recogition here at C&L that May 1, 2003, was the day we were supposed to turn the ships around and bring our troops home! The Cowboy President, with his bulging-crotch flight suit, had the greatest photo op ever!
And the MSM were all chiming in unison, like:
Chris Matthews on MSNBC called Bush a "hero" and boomed, "He won the war. He was an effective commander. Everybody recognizes that, I believe, except a few critics." He added: "Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president. It's simple."
This comment was entered in error as a response. I have no idea what cc is saying 'cuz he is on ignore!
I can't imagine the TANG AWOLer would have enjoyed the carrier land much.
Tweety kept a 'George' in his pocket, every so often he would remove him and say 'I love him and squeeze him and call him "george"'
We opposed it vehemently from the beginning
sniff. they needed a conservative bank account too...
I've lost how many times Chris Matthews' love for Commander Codpiece has been mocked here and on other liberal blogs - and many liberal blogs started because of the push for this unnecessary war of choice sold with transparently flimsy rationales.
Good piece on the torture pimps, and all the "Annals" pieces are neat... The Kristol clip shows his fine prediction rate continues, and the Pulitzer story is eye-popping.
How the poor persecuted fundies try and destroy balance. Their way is the only way, forget science and history, cavemen did ride dinosaurs.
And to point out otherwise is persecuting them...

"His lack of discretion and his callousness toward the patriotic feelings of local citizens have helped to show that a threat exists right here in our community."
C&L has spent a lot less time on the economy lately, considering it's the largest issue facing us I think more attention should be put on it.
Buffett came out and said it, that all but makes the specter of inflation official. Eventually we are going to have to pay the piper and everyone better have some kind of a store of wealth when the shit hits the fan. All this talk of recovery is asinine bull shit. You know were in trouble because Cramer came out on his show and shot stuffed bears off his desk and proclaimed the bull market had returned. That guy is an friggen idiot.
What exactly have they fixed to justify this kind of drunken euphoria? Nothing. So what did they do?
Uhm let's see...
Essentially, they bought us a little time and I stress little. That's it.
China knows this too, law makers we're warned but they didn't listen (kind of like my HOA board) and China has (as in past tense) quietly pulled the credit plug for the last 3 months.
