Redline Doc: In medicine we speak for the patient. In insurance they speak for the money

Figleaf: Wouldn't you think the media would be a little more invested in figuring out why Ling and Lee were considered threats by North Korea? It's because they were investigating sex trafficking.

BuzzFlash: Antonin Scalia was one of just two written dissenters (along with his puppet, Clarence Thomas), who ferociously challenged the notion that the Supreme Court should ensure that an innocent man not be put to death.

..that list from AfterDowningStreet?
Isn't it about time w and his band of war criminals be charged with War Crimes? If suddenly, the world's attention were on war crimes' trials, maybe we could get Health Insurance Reform that will benefit all without all the distractions from the right. Shoots, go for it; they all think we're a bunch of "commies" anyway!

foist

Please, somebody, somewhere, take notice of this...

AP:
Study finds end-of-life counseling improves mood

"As a political uproar rages over end-of-life counseling, a new study finds offering such care to dying cancer patients improves their mood and quality of life."

...and yet, despite this:

"Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has said the end-of-life proposal is likely to be dropped from the final bill."

aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........merica

50% of Americans believe the Death Panel Rant.

..the American People by the right and the health insurance lobby. What the hell is wrong with end-of-life counseling? Well, nothing and its not even the issue in the bill. The issue in the bill that the right feels necessary to LIE to America about merely compensates you if you go see someone about end-of-life care and if you don't want to go, hey this is America (home of the free, home of the brave, little pink houses), its voluntary which means you don't have to go. I added that last little bit for the sake of the faux minions watching this blog for hannity.

Michael Steele was just on Morning Joe and I swear, that guy is an idiot. He danced around and refused to admonish the people talking about "death panels". No wonder his party is in the dumpster, they seem to enjoy it.

He said his party years ago broke a promise to the American people and they have to win back that trust they lost. Well, relying on the words of people like Sarah, I quit, Palin sure as hell is not the way to go.

... to America, the Constitution, his Catholic faith and his Italian heritage. Whatever happened to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" as three main tenets on which our independence as a country were founded? If ever a Supreme Court Justice should be impeached, he is No. 1. And you can take Clarence Thomas with him.

although I prefer describing Scalia as a pompous, pretentious, prideful prick. He's not interested in 'justice'; just in providing a preponderance of puffery to prove he's smart.

I'd love to see a debate between Barney and Tony, on any subject!

Thanks for all you do. Have a beautiful life/day/moment.

Good war criminals list.

Scalia is bright, but a scumbag.

Empytywheel's piece is really, really good.

I'm happy to see that NYT piece Yglesias highlights. I had missed it. Coincidentally, I wrote about the same Washington Times op-eds over the weekend, and how invoking the Nazis' T4 "euthanasia" program do not work in their favor.

re: 50 Top U.S. War Criminals

Is there no room for all of them? Or was Rupert Murder-och forgotten about? The illegal wars wouldn't have been possible without his propaganda machine (as well as the asshats at CNN and all other major networks).

re: Ling and Lee...were investigating sex trafficking [in North Korea].

I've lived in South Korea and despite prostitution being illegal, it's rampant and the police turn a blind eye to it. (Abortion is also rampant in the South, despite half of the country being catholic or fundy christian.) It doesn't surprise me to here that men on both sides of the border engage in the same behaviors.

A lot of the exploitation of North Koreans is the women who escape and illegally marry men in China. In most cases, they're treated horribly (violence, abuse). Some North Koreans send their children to live in China and never see them and can only talk to them by phone once a week, once a month, or even longer. They're so utterly desperate to ensure their children have a better life that they risk losing them permanently.

re: ANNALS OF JOURNALISM: RIP Bob Novak

In No-fact's case, it's the anals of journalism. The only thing that came out of his mouth was verbal diarrhea.

Don't be silly, you need to A, Put Obama on the list for his support of war crimes for seven months. B, Put ALL of commanding generals in Iraq or Afghanistan for participating in known war crimes.

Saw a couple of true believer comments above, this will make them happy.

I want one (1) congress person with enough guts to file a bill of impeachment against Obama for 7 months of war crimes.

This will get plenty of votes. Holding his feet to that fire may get him to understand that Wall Street, Big Pharma and Insurance companies did not elect him, we did. And we can damn well fire him.

Joe Biden is not my dream president, but from where I stand he can not possibly do worse than Obama.
