I'm in such a good mood this morning that I wonder if I dare read any of the links. Things just seem so depressing right now that I hate to expose my emotions to any of them. And the mention or sight of Cheney junior makes me crazy. She and Palin are the worst of what women can be.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Get out and enjoy the cool weather--that's my advice.

It might be a stretch to call the weather here cool yet, but it is nice and dry and a bit crisp. There will be guys in our attic tomorrow on the first day of three installing our new security system. For their sake I am hoping it's even a bit cooler tomorrow so they don't boil in their own perspiration as they work.

Not exactly hot, but I still wouldn't want to be in an attic in it.

Neither would I but these guys are used to working in attics in the height of summer so I'm guessing this will be a little better for them. I know I will be happy when it's all done and I have my house back to myself again. For the guys they will just move on to one after another heat soaked attics.

Halloween party at my house.
Come on down!
(Since that's the scariest thing I can think of right now).

that in 1980, I was living near Bethesda, MD and was invited to a Halloween 'political costume' party.
To make fun of Reagan - I went as a "Budget Cutter"... all dressed in black, with an executioner's hood and a huge silver axe (made of cardboard and aluminum foil). I won a prize for portraying the scariest pol at the time.

44 and raining here
every time you throw a little mud , you lose a little ground .
Where is here? If it gets in the 60s at night here on the Treasure coast (southeast fla) we think we need sweaters. Tonight it may get down to the upper 60s and the weatherman this morning said we might want to bring out our sweaters or light coats. I won't be doing that.

Sounds like gator rasslin' weather.

If the dice come up L.A. it will then be OFF TO MAUI in six months.

With Iran just like we were in Iraq.
Those in power have agendas cooking that we peons are not privvy to.
Sibel Edmonds (under oath) merely scratches the surface of what is REALLY going on within the Halls of Power in in the good ol' U.S. of A. I read it last night and it made me sick. Naturally AIPAC/Israel is in the thick of this scandal and I found it odd that Chicago is the epicenter of it all:

As to the comment by Mike Finnigan up above: "Senior official in Bush domestic propaganda program remains Obama's Pentagon spokesman"....
The only comment I have to that is, "Why???"
Why has Obama also kept all the other snakes who worked for the Bush Administration in various capacities?

I don't think we have the troops, the equipment, or the cash to fight on a third front.
They were asking for more troops for Afghanistan, they could come from Iraq. The shortest distance would be through Iran. It is just that no one mentions these things.
The troops are looking for jobs cause they aren't here. The cash we borrow, the Chinese lend it because if they didn't the dollar would tank and their previous lent dollars would go poof. What we don't borrow they just print.
The equipment may be a problem. Ramp up production. It is the only stuff we make.
Is this a great country or what?

yeah...a real beacon of hope, this country....
The snakes are part of the decor, they are always there.

Huge corporations and foreign nations take a proprietary interest in the government of the United States because they own it. They bought it at the on-going auction called 'K-street' where is sold to the highest bidders the services of Congress, the White House and even the US Supreme Court.

Great Raw Story piece. Meanwhile, I suppose it's progress that a MSM outlet noticed that many retired military personnel disapprove of the Cheneys' relentless lying and fearmongering. Maybe they'll notice next that the same people also oppose torture and abuse...
