Unless you have been a Lefty blogger or Lurker hiding inside the Conservative Echo Chamber of late (which is the same as hiding under a rock), youre well aware of the serious re-evaluation and assessment of our blogsphere that has broken out on many fronts recently. And, if TCF were pressed to make a summation, the brutal truths would go something like this:
- The Left blogsphere is a mostly white and/or male dominated entity, with the most popular and influential bloggers perpetuating an old boys club mentality towards recognition and promotion of non-members.
- Female bloggers are discovering theres no need for an actual corporate structure to experience the glass ceiling.
- Clearly declaring yourself or your blog by means of your minority racial identity is a hindrance, especially when it comes to winning a Koufax Award.
Even if the prediction were true, that in 2025, White Americans will become the minority in this country, TCF would be willing to bet his first Social Security check that things will not change that drastically in the Lefty blogsphere. However, as things are not so hot in Hollywood presently for Black actresses, it is a good time to be a Black actor.
Why? Probably because Hollywood has finally recognized that although Black Americans make up about 13% percent of our nations population, they make up 25% percent of the audience that pay to see their movies.
My point being, that the assumption may be that our blogsphere resembles the CBS prime time lineup, however its about that time to make it clear, that well no longer accept being relegated to UPN and the Lifetime Network. they make up 25% percent of the audience that pay to see their movies.
