After writing a lenghty piece on Harriet Miers, Richard threw this in at the bottom of his column:
Cohen: "A clarification: A number of readers, some of them formerly of the CIA, got the impression from my last column that I don't consider the outing of a covert employee a serious matter. I do."
I'm so glad you feel that way Richard. That's a little different than what you said in your 10/13 column as Think Progress notes:
"The alleged crime involves the outing of Valerie Plame, a CIA operative Not nice, but it was what Washington does day in and day out This is rarely considered a crime."
Is it a crime, a serious matter, or business as usual?
