After writing a lenghty piece on Harriet Miers, Richard threw this in at the bottom of his column:

Cohen: "A clarification: A number of readers, some of them formerly of the CIA, got the impression from my last column that I don't consider the outing of a covert employee a serious matter. I do."

I'm so glad you feel that way Richard. That's a little different than what you said in your 10/13 column as Think Progress notes:

"The alleged crime involves the outing of Valerie Plame, a CIA operative… Not nice, but it was what Washington does day in and day out…This is rarely considered a crime."

Is it a crime, a serious matter, or business as usual?
