C&L reader Michael sent me this code:

using this url: http://haloscan.com/comments/crooks/<number>

Where <number> is the article number that follows the anchor tag
(minus the 'a' character) in a story's perma-link.

Example:

This story has a perma-link of: http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/01/30.html#a6935

So the haloscan link would be: http://haloscan.com/comments/crooks/6935

Try it out until haloscan works again.
