Democrats on Monday effusively thanked Republicans, claiming GOP efforts to whip up outrage over a fundraising video and the media coverage that accompanied it resulted in a haul of 250,000 new e-mail addresses from supporters who expressed interest in aiding the Democratic campaign effort.
