Named for Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Del Reeves, was a country music superstar since the 1960s. He died this week, January 1 (age 74) from emphysema. Although he recorded for the label I later became president of, Reprise Records, I never met him, but always admired his music. I was still in college when he released his first #1 record, "The Girl on the Billboard." And although he hosted his own TV show, Del Reeves was best known as a beloved Grand Ole Opry regular of 4 decades. Here's Del Reeves performing "Back Row" in 1967.

Be one of the first 5 people to correctly identify the host who's introducing Del on this clip and win a mint, sealed copy of Big Al Anderson's CD, After Hours, There will be 5 winners. Just send your answer to Howie at downwithtyranny@aol.com
