Cliven Bundy Flees The Republican Party; Joins Anti-Fed 'Independent American Party'
The Republicans aren't quite nutty enough for Cliven Bundy.
Cliven Bundy was hailed as a hero on the right and many Republicans were lining up to support him, including Gov. Rick Perry over his feud with the BLM. Sean Hannity was so in love with the blustering cattleman that it appeared he was going to send his kids there for summer camp. That was until Cliven decided to enlighten the world about the true nature of racism and government safety nets. He was denounced by many on the right for claiming that blacks were better off under slavery.
So Bundy decided to show them:
Southern Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy no longer is a Republican. Bundy, who is embroiled in a dispute over grazing with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, has switched his affiliation to the Independent American Party.
He and his wife, Carol, signed registration forms to the cheers of supporters at an Independent American Party gathering in Las Vegas on Friday night.
The event was held to honor Bundy for what organizers called “his courage in standing up for state sovereignty.”
He's joining a religious extremist, \anti-federal government group. If you were wondering who the Independent American Party is, here are their 185 principles:
Principle 1: Faith in God and a belief in moral law is essential to maintain freedom
Principle 2: Government’s Sole Function is to protect natural rights such as life, liberty, and property
Principle 3 The United States Constitution is both inspired and binding
Principle 4 Government is the solution to invasion from without and from anarchy from within
Principle 5 Government and individuals are to be held to the same standards in regards to the crimes they commit
Principle 6 Under no circumstances shall the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights be infringed
Principle 7 Our American Republic invites prosperity; the infusion of Communism invites slavery
Principle 8 Socialism is an unconstitutional usurpation of power and a denial of the right of private property
Principle 9 All taxes should be uniform and at the same impartial rate
Principle 10 The United States Constitution requires a circulating medium that is convertible into gold and silver without loss
Principle 11 States are sovereign and should not be ‘commanded’ by the Federal Government
Principle 12 No state or local government can accept funds from the Federal Government and remain independent
Principle 13 Funds from the U.S. Treasury should not be gifted to other nations or their citizens
Principle 14 The Constitution trumps all foreign treaties or agreements
Principle 15 Our national defense should remain strong and never be under the control of foreign entities
Seems like a good fit.
