Six Feared Dead On US Mountain
Tragedy strikes as six US climbers are feared dead in Washington State as some of their climbing gear has been found.

Six missing US climbers were feared dead in the northwestern state of Washington after searchers located their climbing gear on Mount Rainier, a National Park official said Saturday.
Searchers found the equipment "and detected signals from avalanche beacons at the top of the Carbon Glacier at 9,500 feet [2,896 meters] in elevation," said Patti Wold at the Mount Ranier National Park.
"All indications point toward a fall of 3,300 feet [1,006 meters] from near the party’s last known location" at a site known as Liberty Ridge, Wold said in a statement.
