Michigan GOP Proves Its Understanding Of Women By Posing With Fashion Magazines

Michigan House Republicans jumped on Twitter to demonstrate they “understand women” by posing for a photo with fashion magazines and quickly proved how clueless they really are.

Put this in the "you can't make this sh*t up," category. Does their misogyny runs so deep that they have no clue how offensive this is? Or are they just trying to be offensive?

It's hard to tell these days.

Michigan House Republicans jumped on Twitter to demonstrate they “understand women” and quickly proved how clueless they really are. Three GOP House Reps were photographed holding fashion magazines. Michigan Representatives Victory, Glardon and Pettalia smugly help up copies of “Women’ magazines”, and Representative Pettalia quipped “Don’t say we don’t understand women.”

The three men smugly held up copies of fashion magazine in their attempts to appeal to female voters. One has to be pretty deeply immersed in misogynistic patterns of thought to think that the secret to securing more women voters is as simple a holding up a copy of Glamour magazine in front of camera.

The Michigan GOP’ latest stunt to attract women voters was deservedly ridiculed almost immediately. Four women members of Michigan’s Democratic House delegation, retorted with atweet stating”Real women read bill not fashion mags…” The accompanying photo showed the four Reps scanning proposed legislation.

When you have Terry Lynn Land, who said women don't want equal pay and that Obamacare is the "real war on women" representing women in MI, you know the Michigan GOP has a few too many screws loose. And using a photo of three white men mocking the ladies isn't very bright either.
