Convicted Felon Dinesh D'Souza Gets No Jail Time For Campaign Finance Law Violations
Campaign finance lawbreaking isn't such a risky thing after all.
Proving that it's always better to break the law first and apologize later, Dinesh D'Souza got off with a nice light sentence for trying to buy a New York senatorial candidate in 2012.
According to Reuters, D'Souza will spend 8 months in a community confinement center, receive 5 years probation, and be required to perform community service one day per week for the duration of his probation.
I can't wait for all the mini-D'Souzas he spawns with those English language lessons.
With sentences like that, there's virtually no risk in violating campaign finance laws. D'Souza will still be free to make more disgusting movies, become even wealthier, and appear regularly on Fox News.
Ah, liberty.
