Convicted Felon D'Souza Runs To Megyn Kelly For Comfort

He's not the least bit repentant, proving that prosecutors were right about him.

Watch out, New York. Convicted felon Dinesh D'Souza plans to roll into his community confinement center and recruit himself a whole bunch of new Republicans. When he's done with his confinement, he plans to spend his required community service time teaching immigrants to speak English. The first sentence he's likely to teach them is "Ronald Reagan was a saint."

But beyond his promise to corrupt eager young immigrant minds, there is D'Souza, being the jerk that he truly is. There's no regret on his part for what he did. He sees himself as the victim, quite nearly persecuted by the mean prosecutor who wanted to jail him for breaking campaign finance laws.

Listen to how he framed it for Megyn Kelly and imagine the poutrage on the right if a Democrat in the same position said such a thing:

In a “Kelly File” exclusive, D’Souza said that the government tried to lock him up for 10-16 months, but a Bill Clinton-appointed judge said no.

“My own country tried to get me and put me away, and the court said no,” D’Souza said, explaining that this whole ordeal has affirmed his faith in the judicial system.

“This was really an effort to put me out of business,” he noted.

As part of his sentence, D’Souza will have to live in a community confinement center in San Diego for eight months. While he said he’s not exactly sure what that is, he said a good part of his sentence is that he will teach English to new immigrants, adding that he’s “very happy to do it.”

San Diego? That should have some moments attached to it, for sure. Dinesh D'Souza, teaching all those cute immigrants from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador some Republican with their English.

Beyond the terms of his sentence, look at how he turned himself into a martyr. "My own country tried to get me and put me away," he whined. As if he had nothing to do with it. As if he didn't reimburse those straw donors who gave thousands to a Republican Senate candidate who was subject to campaign finance laws.

As if he wasn't a scofflaw.

D'Jerk can whine away about it and paint himself as some kind of victim on Fox News, but he had better not ever try to point the finger at any other convicted felon and pretend he's any better than they are.

What a whining wimp he is.
