Jimmy Carter has liver cancer that has metastasized. He is 90 and it's a triumph to live this long and this fully. I hope he feels well and happy as he faces this next challenge.

But I dread the coming commentary like this. I hope we can collect it all for the next time Republicans sanctimoniously lecture liberals about our alleged disrespectful behavior in these circumstances.
