Fox News' Stoddard: Hard Line Republicans Are 'Math Deniers'

Fox News' A.B. Stoddard said that hard line conservatives in the House are "math deniers" because they can't count votes when it comes to their issues

Since the Conservatives in the House Freedom Caucus torpedoed Rep. McCarthy's bid to become the next Speaker of The House, there's been a media frenzy over what will happen next. The consensus being that Rep. Paul Ryan needs to accept the job as the Speaker, because he has the best chance to get to the magic number of 218, even if he doesn't want it so he can save the Republicans from themselves. During Fox News' Special Report on Thursday, the debate got heated between Tucker Carlson and A.B. Stoddard, who quite vociferously pointed out what the problem is with the hard line conservatives.

Carlson: ..you shouldn't knock off the king (Boehner) unless you have someone to replace him. This is an age old principle. It's not higher math...

Stoddard: They're math deniers.

Carlson: Oh, come on..

Stoddard: It doesn't matter if Paul Ryan is Speaker, they don't have the votes to get to their goals.

Carlson: But you have to have goals, that's the thing...I don't even know what their goals are.

Stoddard: Yes, they want to defund Planned Parenthood. They want to stop amnesty, they have many goals which people agree with in their conference and at the leadership table. They don't have the votes to get there. You need two thirds of the Congress to override a president of another party and they don't have it.

Carlson: I'm aware.

Stoddard correctly called the House Freedom Caucus, "math deniers," because they have no way to push their destructive agenda forward, but don't seem to care. Even though Carlson is just as agitated by their overall ineffectiveness, he got upset when A.B.used a term that contained the word "deniers" in it because to him that's a curse word.
