Fox News Hypes Two Minor Cases Of Voter Fraud To Defend NH Voter ID Law

Fox News aired a segment to explain why NH enacted strict voter ID laws, but there examples of fraud left a lot to be desired.

During Fox News' Special Report with Bret Baier, they played an in-house video FOX produced about the New Hampshire voter ID law that Republicans recently enacted. They went through some of the details of the new guidelines until they got to the actual crimes that they implied forced the changes that Republicans pushed through.

Supporters say it's intended to stop voter fraud like the case of Lauren Schneider, (spelling help) the Massachusetts man who pled guilty for voting illegally in New Hampshire three times, once in the 2008 presidential election and then again four years later in 2015. In both the presidential primary and the November election.

Then there's the case of Derek Castonguay, who also pled guilty to illegal voting two years ago. Voters without an ID...

We all know it's a con game. There hasn't been massive voter fraud in ions and the idea that Republicans are trying to sell the media that they are doing it to protect the integrity of the election is poppycock. Fox News must have scraped the barrel to find those two meaningless examples. It would taken thousands of fraudulent votes to have an affect on an actual election.
