Donald Trump: 'There Will Be Riots' If I Don't Get The Nomination

Donald Trump didn't mince words about what might happen if he gets screwed out of the GOP nomination.

Donald Trump joined CNN's New Day this morning and told host Chris Cuomo he thinks he'll win the nomination before the convention, but if the RNC tries to take it away from him - if he is indeed leading handily, there will be rioting in the streets.

He started off by telling Cuomo that there will be a "natural healing process" within the GOP after the war of the presidential primaries is over and done with.

Trump then added, "But I can tell you, if we didn’t, and if we’re 20 votes short or if we’re 100 short, and we’re at 1100 and somebody else is at 500 or 400, cause we’re way ahead of everybody — I don't think you can say that we don't get it automatically. I think it would be, I think you'd have riots. I think you'd have riots. You know we have, I'm representing a tremendous — many, many millions of people in many cases first time voters."

I agree with Trump that violence could break out within the GOP if the grand poobahs decide to pick a Paul Ryan or somebody that hasn't campaigned for the nomination, but for Trump to begin to send violent dog whistles to his followers after there's been so much talk about the violence emanating from his rallies - is pretty unsettling.
