Donald Trump Flips Again: Muslim Ban Was 'Only A Suggestion'
When Trump says he wants a full and complete immigration shutdown of Muslims, what he means is - fooled you!
In 2004, the Republican party jumped on a John Kerry statement that was used to attack him for the entire general election when he said, "I actually did vote for the $87 billion, before I voted against it."
Fact Check concluded that it was a bogus attack on a poorly worded response by Kerry, but it hurt him all the same.
Donald Trump is not only flip-flopping on many issues that he used to win the Republican presidential nomination, he's lying about what he actually said previously.
On December, 7th 2015, Trump announced via a statement that he wants a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on."
That's a very definitive stance to take and Trump's campaign spelled it out very precisely.
However, on Brian Kilmeade's radio program, Trump changed his position entirely and said his Muslim ban was only "a suggestion."
Fox News Radio's Kilmeade, asked Trump to respond to the newly elected Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, who is Muslim and who bashed Donald for saying he would make an exception for him. " I think Donald Trump has ignorant views on Islam..."
Trump replied in his usual way, by saying Khan is in denial over terrorism, "Well I assume he denies there is Islamic terrorism. There is Islamic radical terrorism all over the world right now. It’s a disaster what’s going on. I assume he is denying that. I assume he is like our President that’s denying it's taking place."
Trump continued, "We have a serious problem. It’s a temporary ban, it hasn’t been called for yet, nobody’s done it, this is just a suggestion until we find out what’s going on. We have radical Islamic terrorism all over the world, you can go to Paris, you can go to San Bernardino, all over the world. If they want to deny it, they can deny it, I don’t choose to deny it."
Trump has been running the most xenophobic campaign in the history of the country. His hard right-wing stance on immigration and white nationalism has been the issue that has galvanized his supporters and now he's saying it was just a thought and a suggestion?
I wonder if the MSM will cover all his lies and flip flops on important issues as much as they do his rallies?
