Excuses, Excuses! Trump Vets Charities More Closely Than He'll Let The Press Vet Him
Tax returns are for charities, not Drumpf.
Amidst all the sound and fury around Hair Drumpf's deranged press conference Tuesday, I found it interesting that Drumpf requires more of the charities receiving his money than he thinks voters should get to hand over the nuclear codes to him.
As you may recall, The Orange Fury refuses to hand over his tax returns until after the election, because he damned well doesn't have to do anything the way everyone else does, because Drumpf.
Today during his press conference, he made it abundantly clear that the same standard doesn't apply to the veterans' charities he gives his friends' money to.
Speaking of one charity, Drumpf said he heard they were a wonderful charity, but he simply cannot release the money to them until their paperwork is in order; specifically, their IRS determination letter, which is apparently still pending.
Now, for a charity to receive an IRS letter, they first need to file an application. As part of that application, they are required to disclose their financial affairs, funding sources, and program activities in detail.
Now Trump says he'll give them the money when they've completed their IRS "vetting."
Why does he think anyone should hand him the presidency when he won't allow the same vetting to apply to himself, again?
