A Baltimore teacher at Maryland’s Harlem Park Elementary and Middle School got caught on video, losing her mind and letting loose a racist rant after she kicked a student out of the class.

She yelled, “You’re idiots. Do you wanna be a punk-ass ni**er who’s going to get shot. You’re stupid! Learn something, be a man.”

After I graduated college with a degree in Music and a minor in education, I worked as a substitute teacher to make some money during the week while I was also gigging.

I often replaced teachers for a day or a week at a time in elementary, middle grade and high school classes and I understand the frustration teachers feel.

When the Space Shuttle blew up, the principal made a school wide announcement about the tragedy and a few students jumped on their chairs in my 7th grade class and were rejoicing that a teacher was dead, I kid you not.

But these are kids. They can be intelligent, inquisitive and mature one minute and then revert back into cold, dispassionate sociopaths the next.

That's why we have laws to protect minors.

But as a teacher, you can't go off like that.
