CNN's S.E. Cupp was surprised by how "remarkably generous" president Obama was in delivering his first press conference after Trump's victory.

Cupp was in disagreement with President Obama, over his claims that America is doing much better now than when President Bush handed over the keys to his new administration.

Even if Trump voters wanted change and blow things up, the truth is the country is on much more solid ground after George Bush's disastrous administration and Trump is getting handed a thriving stock market, low unemployment and a much stronger economy.

It's far from perfect, but it's light years away from the global financial collapse.

But Cupp then made a very astute observation and one we've been making for almost eight years now.

Cupp said, "I found his restraint in answering our Athena Jones' question about the Steve Bannon appointment to be remarkable."

She continued, "Remember, the past eight years is very singularly, personally tied to the election pf President Obama. The birtherism, the alt right stuff, all of that fermented largely because we had a black president."

The alt right stuff is basically where the Republican party is now as an organization. Steve Bannon represents the anti-Semitic, racist, sexist, xenophobic course conservatives shifted to once President Obama was elected.

There is no arguing those facts. The rise of the tea party was fueled by the fear of Obama's popularity.

It's sad, but true.

Cupp was also shocked that the president didn't personally address the appointment of a white nationalist into the White House and she said, " I thought that was remarkably generous."

President Obama has always carried himself with dignity and class as the leader of the free world.
