Hey, Senate Dems, More Of This, Please!

Senate Democrats have signaled an unwillingness to rubber stamp Trump's extreme cabinet selections.

Many in the Democratic establishment have been calling for a halt to "identity politics," the bogus term created by conservatives to smear President Obama's presidential terms and protect them from their racist proclivities.

That's why Fox News and their brethren harped on this concept from day one of Obama's first day in office.

And some are counseling the Dems to work with Trump so as to look like they care about the white working class.

Again, that's another bogus talking point and a typical reflex from the more DLC type of Democrat.

The Democratic party is the party of the entire working class and no amount of fraudulent Trump populist rhetoric can ever change the GOP from what hey are. The party of the elites.

Trying to reaffirm that position by normalizing a Trump administration is another defeatist concept coming from the mouths of the likes of Joe Lieberman.

You remember him, the man who vindictively destroyed Medicare for all.

Anyway, this new report is a step in the right direction for the Democratic party.

Politico reports that Senate Dems are not going to roll over on many of Trump's cabinet nominations for two reasons.

Many of his picks are just crazy and they are pissed off at what Republicans have done to Merrick Garland’s nomination.

But it’s not just about exacting revenge. Democrats argue that some of the president-elect’s more controversial Cabinet picks — such as Jeff Sessions for attorney general and Steven Mnuchin for treasury secretary — demand a thorough public airing.“

They’ve been rewarded for stealing a Supreme Court justice. We’re going to help them confirm their nominees, many of whom are disqualified?” fumed Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio). “It’s not obstruction, it’s not partisan, it’s just a duty to find out what they’d do in these jobs.”

This is the correct approach when an unqualified man wins the White House and proceeds to hand pick extremist zealots for key positions in the government.

It's also the type of response that the white working class who voted for Trump actually liked about the mangled apricot hell beast.

He's a vindictive person, who goes on the offensive against any person he deems to have wronged him.

Playing hardball is possibly something they might respect in return.

What we can't stand to see is weakness. This is no time for the faint of heart in the Democratic party.

Liberals want to see this mentality moving forward instead of a kumbaya push to the center and a capitulation of our values just to satisfy some knee-jerk reactions to op-ed prescriptions for what ails us.
