WATCH: Trump's Uses First U.N. Speech To Promote Trump-Branded Property
The man-baby can't help himself, ever.
After Nikki Haley effusively introduced Trump to the U.N. this morning, the first words out of his mouth were intended to pimp a Trump-branded property directly across the street.
You can't make this up.
After the U.S. Ambassador spoke for a few moments about the UN and how much everyone wants it to succeed and change is desperately needed, she introduced the president.
Haley said, "It is now my honor to introduce someone who is no stranger to change, Donald Trump has a businessman's eye for seeing potential and he sees great potential not just in this reform movement, but in the United Nations itself."
"He shares your commitment to creating a more effective advocate for peace, security, and human rights. We are deeply grateful he has taken the time to be with us today. Ladies and gentlemen, president Donald J. Trump."
Is offering up the the most over-the-top praise to Trump a requirement for getting a job from him?
After a smattering of applause, Trump began.
"I actually saw great potential right across the street to be honest with you, and it was only for the reason that the United Nations was here that that turned out to be such a successful project," Trump told the delegation as he preened.
How is that property relevant in any way to the proceedings in front of him? He doesn't even own it -- he just sells his name to them.
Matt Shuhan writes, "Trump World Tower is across 1st Avenue from the UN, between East 47th and 48th streets in New York City.
"After Trump won the 2016 election, his transition website, greatagain.gov, incorrectly claimed that he owned the property, Bloomberg reported."
