Fox News' Shepard Smith refuted Trump's outrageous claims that President Obama was outsmarted by Putin, which allowed Putin to invade and annex Crimea.

During a press conference at the G-7 in France today, Trump lobbied to get Putin's Russia back into the G-7 and then attacked Pres. Obama for being hoodwinked by Russia.

After a reporter pointed out that that's considered a lie, Trump pushed back again, and, on foreign soil, blamed a former U.S. president for Russia's deadly attacks in Ukraine.

Trump said, "President Obama was pure and simply outsmarted. They took Crimea during his term. That was not a good thing. It could have been stopped. It could have been stopped with the right whatever."

The right whatever? WTF is that?

French President Macron fact-checked Trump live, and then Fox News' Shepard Smith came on and blasted Donald's outrageous claims in detail.

Smith said, “President Trump says the Russians were removed from the group, because President Putin outsmarted President Obama."

"That is not true," he said.

Smith continued, "The decision to remove Russia from the group was unanimous. The reason? Putin invaded and annexed Crimea. In the conflict that continues, in eastern Ukraine, Russian forces support separatists, who have killed more than 10,000 people. During that conflict, a Russian weapon shot a civilian airliner from the sky, killing hundreds. Then, in 2016-2018, the Russians interfered with the American elections. According to American intelligence agencies, they are interfering today.”

Trump once again makes believe an autocratic dictator is justified when they do something incredibly destructive, and every democratically elected politician around the world — including a former U.S. president — are all wrong.
