McCarthy Said He'll Defund The Military Unless Vax Mandate Lifted
Anti-vaccine wackos are Kevin McCarthy's number one priority when it comes to the military.
Minority leader Kevin McCarthy told Fox News that unless vaccine mandates are lifted in the military, he'll refuse to fund the National Defense Authorization Act.
Speaking to Laura Ingraham on Monday evening, Rep. McCarthy made these comments.
"I told the president, I was very clear, we, if he wants the NDAA, I told him, you gotta lift the vaccine mandate on our military men and women," McCarthy said. "Why? They're not meeting their recruitment goals right now because of this."
As usual, Republicans support the worst this country has to offer.
The vaccine mandate in the military has nothing to do lower military recruitment overall. It's the hot jobs market.
CNBC reports, "We’re competing for talent just like all of the folks in industry are, and the job market is hot right now,” Wormuth told CNBC’s Morgan Brennan on Wednesday at the CNBC event. “Wages have gone up a lot, and that’s great for Americans, but it’s making it harder for us in the Army to compete.”
"A second “really hard problem” cited by Wormuth is what the Army calls “propensity to serve,” which is inclination among the population to join the military and serve the country.
“Right now, only 9% of young Americans say that they’re interested in joining the military,” she said."
McCarthy has made it clear that when he becomes Speaker, he will bow down and cater to the worst of us.
Kevin McCarthy will take Christian nationalists, conspiracy theorists, white supremacists and anti-vaxxers positions over the health and safety of the rest of the country.
Buckle up Buckaroos!
