MTG: Being In Congress ‘Has Made My Life Miserable’
Get out your tiny violin for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Life is so tough for MAGA trolls earning $174,000 a year of taxpayer dollars! Just listen to the hardships of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the pro-insurrection enemy of democracy whose idea of “public service” seems to be garnering as much public attention for herself as she can.
Taylor Greene began her recital of sacrifice by bemoaning the fact that her job keeps members of Congress in Washington too much. “We don't get to go home and spend more time with our families, our friends and all in our district or maybe just be regular people because this job is so demanding,” she claimed. “You’re practically campaigning nearly the entire time that you’re here serving.”
That’s why people “just fall into this social club” in Washington “which I have no interest in,” she added.
Then she got to what she surely thought the most important part of her whine: herself.
TAYLOR GREENE: Becoming a member of Congress has made my life miserable. I made a lot more money before I got here. I've lost money since I've gotten here. I have people come up to me and say crazy things to me out of the blue, in public places, that they believe because they read it on the Internet or saw it on some news show about me. So, it's not a life that I think like something that I enjoy because I don't enjoy it.
But have no fear, MAGAts, this troll will not be deterred from her noble work, like harassing a teenage victim of a recent mass shooting on Capitol grounds or posting a sign outside her office reading, “There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE” in response to another member’s trans pride flag. She remains “committed to this job because I believe in it.”
Sorry, Marge, you deserve all the blowback you get and more.
