A disheveled Donald Trump was boasting about his push to execute all drug dealers when Fox News host Bret Baier explained to him that under his policy, his favorite pardonee Alice Johnson would have been put to death.
The look of bewilderment on his face says it all.
Trump was bragging how he pardoned Alice Johnson, who was convicted in 1996 on eight criminal counts stemming from a Memphis-based cocaine trafficking operation involving more than a dozen people. She was sentenced to life in prison in 1997.
Trump even ran an ad highlighting her release during the Super Bowl as a PR move.
"And she was on a telephone call and they were involved in selling marijuana, mostly marijuana. And she got like 50 years in jail," Trump said.
"She'd be killed under your plan," Baier said.
A confused Trump responded. "Huh?"
As a drug dealer.
No, no, no. Under my. Oh, under that? Ahhhh, it would depend on the severity.
She's technically a former drug dealer. She — she had multimillion dollar cocaine ring dealer.
Trump started mumbling.
So even Alice Johnson in that ad?
She wouldn't be killed it. It would start as of now," Trump said making a chopping motion.
Bret Baier even started laughing at Trump after he tried to save himself.
"I know, but your policy," Baier laughed.
"No Bret, starting now," Trump said and continued to mumble and rant that Alice would have never been a drug dealer if the death penalty was on the table.
And I have a bridge to sell you.
This has been another edition of the wispy-haired, leather faced, bawbag-eyed f*ck bumper.
