He-Man Markwayne Mullin Challenges Teamsters Boss To A Fight
Here is exhibit A on how men are too emotional to govern.
Here is exhibit A on how men are too emotional to govern. Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) decided to spend his time in the HELP committee hearing throwing down on Teamsters boss Sean O'Brien, which definitely is not conducive to actual fact-finding for budgetary and policy purposes.
Mullin started out with his time harping on O'Brien, apparently carrying a grudge from last time O'Brien was in front of the committee. Afterwards, O'Brien tweeted some things tender snowflake Mullin did not like.
After reading a couple of tweets, he got to the heart of his hurt.
"And let me read what the last one said," Mullin said. "It said, greedy CEO who pretends like he's self-made. What a clown, fraud, always has been, always will be. Quit the tough guy act and these Senate hearings. You know where to find me, any place, any time, cowboy."
Oooh, big tweet on platform that encourages lots of heat and very little light. But Mullin was incensed! His manhood was threatened. Or something.
He threw down: "Sir, this is a time, this is a place. You wanna run your mouth? We can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here."
"Here" would be the HELP committee hearing room in a HELP committee hearing chaired by Sen. Bernie Sanders.
O'Brien, never one to shy way from a challenge, responded, "Okay, that's fine, perfect."
"You wanna do it now?"
"I'd love to do it right now."
"Well, stand your butt up then," Mullin ordered.
O'Brien shot back, "You stand YOUR butt up," causing Mullin to shoot out of his chair like a cannon double shot.
At that point, Bernie Sanders jumped in, reminding Mullin that he was a United States Senator and needed to sit down and stop the nonsense right now.
This is toddler stuff. Truly. Mullin was out to make O'Brien look like a union thug and ended up making himself look like an idiot.
