This was the day that made billions of people afraid to go in the water.

On June 20, 1975 Steven Spielberg‘s ground breaking film “Jaws” hit the movie theaters and ushered in what became the summer box office blockbuster.

The film was an instant hit and classic, and his influenced the world as much as any other movie has in the history of filmmaking.

Who could forget the opening images of a girl going skinny-dipping after partying with her friends on the beach not realizing what was waiting beneath her.

Roy Scheider, improvised the famous line “You're gonna need a bigger boat."
