Media Excuses Mitt Romney's New 'Peace Candidate' Look In Third Debate

I've been watching the post debate coverage on CNN, FOX and CNN and all of the mainstream journos on those shows were quite impressed with Mitt Romney morphing into the peace candidate right in front of their eyes. ROMNEY: Let me — let

right in front of their eyes.

ROMNEY: Let me — let me step back and talk about what I think our mission has to be in the Middle East, and even more broadly, because our purpose is to make sure the world is more — is peaceful. We want a peaceful planet. We want people to be able to enjoy their lives and know they're going to have a bright and prosperous future and not be at war. That's our purpose. And the mantle of — of leadership for promoting the principles of peace has fallen to America. We didn't ask for it, but it's an honor that we have it.

But for us to be able to promote those principles of peace requires us to be strong, and that begins with a strong economy here at home, and unfortunately, the economy is not stronger.

And later:

MR. ROMNEY: Thank you, Bob, Mr. President, folks at Lynn University — good to be with you. I'm optimistic about the future. I'm excited about our prospects as a nation. I want to see peace. I want to see growing peace in this country, it's our objective. We have an opportunity to have real leadership. America's going to have that kind of leadership and continue to promote principles of peace that'll make a world the safer place and make people in this country more confident that their future is secure.

He flip-flopped in real time on many of his foreign-policy stances -- including being much softer on Iran -- and he's getting applauded for using a smart strategy. Lying has officially become a smart political strategy.

Now you know the trouble the journalistic establishment is facing -- especially as long as they continue to believe it's "unprofessional" to call lying liars exactly what they are to their faces.
