Fox Affiliate Fires Reporter, Cameraman After Deceptively Edited Video They Called An 'Honest Misunderstanding'

(Baltimore Sun) Two staffers said to be involved in the misleading edit of a video last week of a protest in Washington were dropped by WBFF (Fox 45), two sources at the station confirmed today. They were reporter Melinda Roeder and photographer Greg McNair, according to the two sources. WBFF (Fox45) apologized last week online and on-air for misleadingly editing and airing a video of a protest march in Washington to make it seem as if protesters were chanting “kill a cop.” -- Anchor Jeff Barnd called it an "honest misunderstanding" in their Dec 23rd non-apology apology.
