Mr. Johnson has no experience in law enforcement, the law, the military, counter-terrorism or intelligence. His current job involves oversight of management throughout the executive branch. Prior to that, he served during the Bush/Cheney transition by helping Mr. Bush to staff thousands of federal positions.
He served much the same role when Mr. Bush became governor, and then served as Mr. Bush's chief of staff. You can read his official government bio here.
Mr. Johnson does not appear to have any blemishes of ethics or competence on his public record... Privately, he has worked as an executive in the mail-order catalogue business, as well as for Pepsico. Specifically, Frito-Lay, a maker of fine snack chips.
To his credit, Frito-Lay has suffered not a single attack by al Qaeda.
His relationship with Mr. Bush is almost unique in Washington. The two men have been friends since they were 15 and met at Andover.
He recalls discussing Vietnam with Mr. Bush. Not the morality of it. That was "almost moot," he told the Associated Press. Their concern was getting out of the draft.
Sadly, even if Gonzo had hired a known cannibal and participated in ritual bloodletting to summon demons, there still would have been some Senators *coughHatchcough* who wouldn't have found in themselves to vote to remove his smarmy ass from office.
So, who's the next Loyal Bushie to be sent in to Congress to stonewall to delay the impeachment of Cheney, the appointment of a reasonably sane Republican replacement VP, and the impeachment of Bush?
[Deleted. Knock it off, tyree, you are repeating yourself]

Hahahaha... good stuff.
By the way, the interim AG after Gonzales leaves and until a new AG gets confirmed and takes office will be Paul Clement. You may remember Paul Clement from his time working as staff for Justice Scalia and for representing Bush in Bush v. Gore. What I mean to say is, he's an asshole.
Furthermore, Gonzales resigning made my Monday a lot better.
Too bad these idiots don't just come out of the damn closet, then they wouldn't have to sneak around in public bathrooms to find sex. They could just meet in Bar or wherever and then go home with someone to a nice apartment or house.
Their hypocrisy does this to them. They are hateful to what they are. And is it me, or are most of them Republicans?

Black Agenda Report
Barack Obama claims African Americans have come "90 percent of the way" in the struggle for justice. Tell that to six Black high school students from Jena, Louisiana, facing life in prison for a schoolyard fight with white kids who admitted hanging three nooses from a campus tree. The first Black youth, whose white public defender called no witnesses and put up virtually no defense, has already been convicted by an all-white jury. Louisiana's effort to carry out a legal mass lynching demonstrates that the white students brandishing nooses have a better understanding of the real state of American justice than Barack Obama.
"The case in Jena is textbook proof that there are still two systems of justice functioning in this country, one for Black people, and one for white."
Almost a year ago, in the small northern Louisiana town of Jena, a group of white students hung three nooses from a tree in front of Jena High School. This set into motion a season of racial tension and incidents that culminated in six Black youths facing a lifetime in jail for a schoolyard fight. The story that has unfolded since then is one of racism and injustice, but also of resistance and solidarity, as people from around the world have joined together with the families of the accused, lending legal and financial support, adding political pressure, and joining demonstrations and marches.
The nooses were hung after a Black student asked permission to sit under a tree that had been reserved by tradition for white students only. In response to the three nooses, nearly every Black student in the school stood under the tree in a spontaneous and powerful act of nonviolent protest. The town's district attorney quickly arrived, flanked by police officers, and told the Black students to stop making such a big deal over the nooses, which school officials termed to be a "harmless prank." The school assembly, like the schoolyard where all of this had begun, was divided by race, with the Black students on one side and the white students on the other. Directing his remarks to the Black students, District Attorney Reed Walters said, "I can make your lives disappear with a stroke of a pen."
The white students who confessed to hanging the nooses never received any meaningful punishment. Nor did the white students who months later beat up a Black student at a school party, nor did the white former student who threatened two Black students with a shotgun. But, after these incidents, when Black students got into a fight with a white student, six Black youths were charged with attempted murder, and now face a lifetime in prison. The Black students may not have been involved in the fight, but they were known to be organizers of the protest under the tree. The white student was briefly hospitalized, but had no major injuries and was socializing with friends at a school ring ceremony the evening of the fight.

don't know if i like this or not, although, in truth, it was very creative and showed a lot of effort to put it together. HOWEVER, it's just hard for me to find anything humorous about what has occurred and is occurring in our country today. let's see now, they've destroyed my patriotism, they have succeeded in making me think negative thoughts of our military, they have also won in having me question everything that our government does, including giving credibility to overboard conspiracy theories. they have me saying, "well that might be true, look at everything else they've done. a 911 conspiracy theory is not so farfetched when in my heart of hearts, i know they could not have pulled it off. no more than roswell or a false landing on the moon. how i long for a past time, say the turbulent '60's. johnson and nixon in retrospect were perhaps not so bad.

We've come a long way, baby.
This is dispicable and disgusting. The FBI need to go there and get some justice for the black kids.........this is what happens when their parents are neocons.......racism and hatred are taught.........no wonder some of the black folks are racist....living in a world like that.....one has to protect themselves....and when you look at the history of that area....it's understandable........this is the reason why I don't want to go there ...ever.
in my opinion , Solicitor General Clement and anti-terror adviser Townsend are good choices, Clement is a strict Constitutionalist, that could be a change !, Fitzgerald will never get the nomination, he clearly would be the best for America ....
about Senator Schumer: a) like the NYT has reported, he dines every month with top Hedge-Fund executives but refuses to say why or how much he gets from them...
b) he repeatedly called and wrote the Justice Dpt. in support of neocons indicted or to be indicted for money/stock options/ inside trading/ late trading/backdating/ cases as the NYT media has reported , he really cares for Wall Street greed victims, the thief's that is, and not the abused, he and R.Emanuel and S.Lieberman have repeatedly ask Congress not to raise the tax rate of Hedge Funds , which now stands at 15% instead of the regular 30 %, the Hedge-Funds themselves are organized as "private partnerships" so they don't pay taxes ,and one of the biggest is the multiple Funds of Goldman Sachs, so Schumer " feels " for these speculators investing in key Homeland Security and Pentagon Contracts, the poor people, they have to invest and make billions in war bussineses and the death in it , what a sacrifice !
c) and that's why Schumer is pushing Chertoff ,Stuart Levey and other neocons, to make sure all his manipulating the Justice Dpt. does not get investigated...not to worry : Chertoff is a case to study: he was with Ken Starr key in the Clinton Whitewater case, Chertoff was the partner of Rupert Murdoch, one of the backers of Kirkland & Ellis where Starr and the Tobacco Lobby were organized and when Murdoch was making billions from Philip Morris as stockholder and executive Board member , Chertoff later was rewarded with the Deputy .A.G. for the Criminal Div. slot during 2001, he was in charge of finding the 9/11 terrorists but hey ! when Rowley and all the other FBI agents went to the Justice Dpt. his office said: muslims training to fly planes but not to land them ? muslims travelling to Extremists Conventions in the Middle East ? paying with cash for everything ? going to Afghanistan and Pakistan ? nothing to worry about it ! no need to ask them ! no need to follow them ! the Justice Dpt. and Chertoff didn't do anything to them ......and the rest is History ......Chertoff went after A.Andersen to distract from Andrew Fastow of Enron, Andersen went bankrupt and later the Supreme Court agreed they had nothing to do with the actual Enron fraud, its was the Enron and some Andersen executives, but too late, thousands lost their pensions and savings, so Chertoff got promoted to Judge!, and he and other neocons made sure there was no Investigation about the Silverstein-Goldman 99 year leases over the WTC just days before 9/11, nothing about Nicolas Berg arrested with the e-mail passcodes of Zacharias Moussaoui, the 20th hijacker, nothing ! they kept everybody out for lunch with the help of the Media, a perfect criminal job ! ........
later Chertoff waited 4 days after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans to go down there from Washington, the 4th day, he was giving interviews to TV Networks like MSNBC and CNN,etc., and talking about himself and how good he was doing, while the whole world was watching people waiting for 4 days on top of their roofs without water or food and others dying in Hospitals waiting for help from the Homeland Security and FEMA , waiting for Chertoff and Brown....so Chertoff was busy on Thursday ( 4 days after Katrina hit ) getting make-up for yet another TV interview in DC.....and now the neocons like Schumer and Specter want him in charge of the Justice Dpt. and the FBI ,what a criminal shame !
Too bad these idiots don't just come out of the damn closet, then they wouldn't have to sneak around in public bathrooms to find sex. They could just meet in Bar or wherever and then go home with someone to a nice apartment or house.

That's what gets me. Anyone with empathy and understanding can respect and relate to any other decent person, whether they happen to be gay or not gay. When that other person's behavior becomes recklessly dangerous and illegal is when one should feel the need to become concerned.
Hehehe. This is even better than the last one. I hope they keep it up.
