The only one that even had a shot was Cheesehead until tommy thompson dropped out.
Feingold never ceases to amaze me. First he painted those five promises on his garage and now this. That's presidential material if I ever saw it. I'm from Illinois, and I'm glad the midwest senators are that cool.

It's also not in rhythm. If he were to announce, then first he should have been publicly screaming at Pelosi to start impeachment. He should have been yelling impeachment up and down. And then publicly criticizing all the dumb moves we've been making lately in Iraq.
Then say "that's it. I've had enough of this. It looks like I have to run for president."

If I may interject a standing argument, as Russ is the perfect example of my case..
Take the chance to vote for someone you believe in- not just someone you think will win.
The reason that we in Wisconsin enjoy such a wonderful senator today is because Wisconsin has a rich voting history. Do you all know that Wisconsin has had Socialist Govs and Mayors within the past half century? And even though no recent candidates have won from that party, our history of Progressive and social voting has let someone like Russ run and win, even while folks like Tommy Thompson was our Governor.
If you vote for your Naders, despite their chances of winning, those 2 or 6% points will embolden the Feingold's to run and be openly progressive.
I wish this had been done before the current crop of wanna-be Dem contenders was decided. Kucinich is really the only one that fits the bill as described in the video. And we all know where the money is going, or isn't as it were.

I actually like INXS. I thought they were the coolest band ever in the 1980's. They had a progressive sound, just like the fact that Russ Feingold is a progressive person. Of course Bob Dylan is cool in ways that no one else can be.

Russ and his sense of humor. This guy knows how to get innovative esp with the black and white theme. But a smart man like him knew a presidential race would be an ugly one.
Our country, and the world for that matter, would be a much better place if our elected officials were filled with Russ Feingolds.

Why Dylan? Because Dylan was about content and not looks or sound.
Dylan wrote some of the greatest songs this planet has ever heard.
Dylan wrote songs that he felt needed to be heard.
Wrote songs that were unpopular with the mainstream.
He also often walked the unpopular path. His 'Nashville Skyline' CD and using electric guitars was a total deviation from his earlier work and he was highly scrutinized for doing so.
The the man in black told the critics to literally 'f**k off'.
That is what the US needs, a critic and a populace willing to listen.
Sadly conformity is a sickness with which many are infected today.
It is always esiaer to put your head in the sand and hide. Hide from bad facts and we can easily kill another 3000 troops. the more they die the easier it is to get a republican elected. Just say they died for freedom. Nobody cares about the actual truth anymore, just riff off some sound bites about friddom and Al Katy and we will all be shaking in our boots. History will be a harsh judge.
Watched it, read it, sobbed for all the unfulfilled hopes that shouldn't just be hopes but should be the qualities we demand in our leader and find in them. How in hell did we get here?
