HAH!

McCain to ‘Match’ Obama -- With Tour of Epcot’s ‘World Showcase’

What are the possibilities of any outcome of the hearings today?

Good-bye Bush! Thanks to you, we are the laughing stock of the world! Two endless wars, economy in the tubes, no future for our children, destruction of our Constitution, the list goes on and on, Good Night and Good Luck.

to change the subject slightly, this is the best representation of this internet tradition that i am aware of.

its great to finaly see a warmonger with some class!

I'm wishing him bad luck. Hopefully some kind of law will catch up to him.

Helen Thomas will have her own documentary on HBO in August!

The FCC approves of another monopoly. Charles Barkley does something helpful
with his money. Unfortunately, other college students are forced to rely on food banks. Iraq's already costing as much as Vietnam(unadjusted for inflation). McCain thinks making fun of Obie's slogan will help his campaign.

Good one, Skippy!

McCain apparently sees no irony of meeting with the Dalai Lama.

.

Bring on the ObamaNation!
Or is it the status quObama?

Vincent Bugliosi exposes the secret plan to paint U.S. spy planes in the colors of the United Nations and get them shot down over Iraq. Unbelievable, but it happened today in front of the House Judiciary Committee. Believe it.

Ron@8, I believe in Karma and Poetic Justice, not just bad luck. I honestly believe Bush will have to face some charges. The world has spoken, they no longer think we are the beacon of the world. It will take take a long time to regain our credibilty. If McCain win wins, all is for naught.

Mr. Swampfox, it might be best if you take your trolling to some other site. Those of us who post at C&L are actually used to dealing with others who do have some class as well as a higher IQ - unlike you and your bottom-feeder friends. Adieu!

McCain also supports a 16 month timetable according to his CNN interview.

And now Obama is just too damn European for the press, here comes the smears...

"But, but, but...."

[His trip has made me smile, tho...a rarity lately.]

Angela Merkel is the brilliant Chancellor of Germany. Even though she is the leader of one of the most technologically advanced nations in the world; she is still a woman. Merkel, in a remarkable display of good humor, said she enjoyed the impromptu massage and would welcome another one if some other head of state was so inclined.

I think the proper question would ask about the probability of the House begining impeachment proceedings. My take from the witnesses, except Prof. Presser who is just a republiscum stooge, is that Congress needs to begin impeachment imediately to prevent the current administration from fucking us further (bomb Iran, implement martial law etc.) and to limit the powers that will be inherited by the next President (Obama).

I'd really like to punch Franks in the mouth everytime he tries to use procedural rules to disrupt the way the hearing was going. I'm also incensed that people can not even applaud without the republiscums trying to prevent those watching from seeing things go against them. They are truely cowards, afraid of their own failures from being seen.

Permanant republiscum majority, ha ha ha ha haaaaaa!!

Obama did a great job at his press conference with Sarkozy today.

Yeah, I remember watching it at the time and noting how Merkel looked neither humored or gracious about Bush manhandling her. And how barley tolerant she has looked everytime she has had to stand next to Bush while he embarrassed himself publicly.

Compare that to the expression of genuine enjoyment on her face while talking to Obama, and her body language as she reached out and touched him.

Slight correction Ron. He is a she. Amitola is a girl's name and means Rainbow is an aboriginal language. Of course he could be a cross-handler. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but it makes him a log cabin troll.

P.D.:

I believe in Karma and Poetic Justice, not just bad luck. I honestly believe Bush will have to face some charges.

It ain't about karma, but about the guy refusing to reign in his behavior. Otherwise, Reagan would be in jail, too. Hell, I don't even think most of the Dems appeasing Bush actually believe their pro-War on Terror arguments; they're probably just hoping to keep him busy so they can save what's left of the economy. But Dubya keeps acting like his opinion on the domestic front still matters. So if he has his way there, then the representatives will be in as much financial pain as the rest of us; thus, they realize he must be stopped for the sake of economic stability and "legislative privilege". If Shrub just played ball, then he could earn his "get out of jail free" card, but he can't even play
rugby without punching his opponent, so he's making it harder to be ignored as Executive.
And as I said before, I think that, in the end, more Republicans will want him impeached then Dems, simply because he keeps trying to take people in the former group down with him.

Check out Fritz Hollings on Bill Moyers Journal talkin bout money in politics tonight.

BILL MOYERS: Do you take any hope on this issue on money in politics? From McCain and Obama? Are they saying anything that or doing anything that--

FRITZ HOLLINGS: I happened to hear and I don't know, but the finance chairman for Obama was just told to get up 300 million for the rest of the campaign till November. Also, get up millions for the Denver convention. And that's all they're doing is raising money.

Great.

Technically the war was never won and can't be won because the military objective of the war can NEVER be achieved since Saddam didn't have WMDs. The war was lost once it was launched on a lie, now it's a matter of playing fast and loose with the facts and create this perception we did something right by doing something terribly wrong.

This war isn't about winning and losing. This war is about finding the perfect opportunity to declare victory and come home. Bush had a opportunity once they caught Saddam. Now Barack, whether you agree or not, has found a opportunity by having the Iraqi government commit to their 2010 timetable. If they commit to it, and Barack pulls out all combat forces, then anything that happens afterwards is the fault of the Iraqis and not the Americans. That's bullshit because I for one think Iraq was better with Saddam so anything that happens afterwards is our fault, but in terms of how the history books will be written it's about declaring victory and going home to put all the blame on the Iraqis at first light.

After speaking with several Germans after Obamas visit and speech in Germany, the universal saying was, Witch Barack Obama as President the Americans can once again be proud of their President.

Hopewise, this has been one of the best weeks I have had in a long time. Obama scores a knockout with his overseas trip where he wows everybody. And then we have McCrazy buying sausages and fudge with his little pal Lindsey when he's not hanging around a grocery store ... HAH !

Is that the French leader with the thumbs up? That's very silly. Like he's all giddy to see Obama. Anyway the pictures Bush vs Obama are striking....goood job.

good job Gramm wasnt there in the store helping Mcnasty buy his photo op provisions and the cheese,
Gramm would have paid twice the price and gotten half the goods.

Guantanamo testimony: U.S. let bin Laden's top bodyguard go
By Carol Rosenberg | The Miami Herald

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVY BASE, Cuba — Soon after Osama bin Laden's driver got here in 2002, he told interrogators the identity of the al Qaeda chief's most senior bodyguard — then a fellow prison camp detainee.

But, inexplicably, the U.S. let the bodyguard go.

would have been silly to keep a double agent locked up in gitmo, prob had other work to do.

Obama's a very good candidate for the Democratic Party and it shouldn't be too difficult of a choice for any self-respecting progressive to choose his name on the ballot this November.

An alternative: Vote for the cynical, deceptive and addled old king rat which the Republicans chose to pluck out of their sewers to run against Barack Obama.

It's important to keep bringing up Bush's crimes, because we want a country we can be proud of, a country that puts justice and human rights above all.

But when it comes to Israel, remember kids, cover up and deny deny deny, and then use moral relativism to justify Israel's fascist policies because it's the homeland of my ancestors whom I share a common god with, but I don’t care what it stands for or how it treats non-Jews. Especially, since I don’t live there. I live happily in my California home, far away from the apartheid.

Religious fanaticism has nothing to do with this, I'm just fond of the Jewish state because I happen to be Jewish too and I think two Jews separated by 10,000 of ocean should stick together, kind of like when a family member murders someone in cold blood and you cover up for them because their family.

I can see the GOP headline....

Do you want a president that's respected around the world?

FRITZ HOLLINGS: I happened to hear and I don't know, but the finance chairman for Obama was just told to get up 300 million for the rest of the campaign till November. Also, get up millions for the Denver convention. And that's all they're doing is raising money.

Can I help you out there Grover? My guess is your wonderful administration has been to busy fucking up every other ball tossed to them to really focus on Reagan's legacy. Other than, of course, continuing Reagan's legacy of bullshit economics that impoverishes the masses in hopes the rich throw them a bone.

I'd rather think of Reagan in these terms,... ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to the 40th President of the United States!

I spent a couple of years in Cal. while Reagan was creating a police state while he was Gov.

Was Bonzo his assistant then?

Logan, what makes you think that George W. Buffoon was either ashamed or embarrassed? Yes, WE were ashamed and embarrassed (thank you, Natalie Maines), but that arrogant asshole doesn't understand the concept of either term! He can't fall off the planet too soon.
