I did a podcast at Skewz.com recently. We discussed MBRU and the tired myth of the 'liberal media.' Also, congratulations to "Mad" Kane, winner of the 2008 Robert Benchley Society Award for Humor Award

Today is race over load
The best is watching all the white pundits debate this.
LMAO
The Taliban is Musharraf's pet project, he wants, I think at some level, to recreate the Mughal empire. Unfortunately for Musharraf, not even the Taliban will want to answer to that, much less the Hindus of India.
I like Helena Cobban's ideas, yet I'd also caution that stability in Iraq is going to be nonexistent so long as US troops are still there, and Afghanistan's Civil War won't end after we leave, nor will the planned Surge there have much effect, in the long term. The USSR could control Afghan cities, too. They neglected the countryside. Why people think that controlling Kabul, a city and therefore repeating the same failed tactics of the Soviets is going to work, I dunno. But then collective punishment never works that well anyway.
Obama 316 McCain 198 Ties 24
Senate Dem 57 GOP 43
House Dem 240 GOP 195
Great looking "trend" for Obama. Ouch.
Dr. Britney Hussein Matt @ 3:
He's good at drawing crowds. Anything else?
L.A. Confidential @ 4:
Yes. He was able to beat Hillary, Thank God. And, he's drawing larger polling numbers representative of voters that will elect him as our next President in November.
Hiillary lost, thank God, get over it.
LAC, where's your daily apocalyptic rant about how the country is finished?
Come on, just one for old times' sake.....
Obama's camp should accuse McCain of playing the age card when McCain does his act of pretending to fall asleep whenever anyone mentions his age.
Bill Moyers looks like a must see tonight... sorry about o/t...
Guess who's a celebrity
click over to the Internet Movie Database to see just how often John McCain has appeared on other TV talk shows since 2000, when he became nationally famous after his failed presidential bid:
Jay Leno: 10 times.
David Letterman: 8 times.
The Daily Show: 12 times (or 13?).
Conan O'Brien: 3 episodes.
Larry King Live: 9 times.
Saturday Night Live: twice.
Live with Regis and Kathie Lee (!):
once Entertainment Tonight (!!): twice.
The View: twice.
Tony Danza Show (!!!): once.
and the icing on the cake....
The man had a cameo in "The Wedding Crashers"! And in 2006, Senator McCain apparently appeared as an actor in an episode of "24"...
McCain isn't going to need any 527 groups throwing mud for him, his own campaign has decided to do it.
It's really a shame, as much trouble as our country is in and as much as it faces, that negative ads may once again cause voters to vote for the candidate, who is least capable to doing what is best for our country, to be elected.
Here, from Glenn Greenwald, is the story that will rank with the efforts and likes of Woodward and Bernstein.
This story should change everything, but will it?
The anthrax attacks came from an agent of the government. Let that roll around on your tongue.
No conspiracy theorists needed.
What is needed is a new department of justice, a new speaker of the house.
What is needed is a new government
Jefferson revolutionaries, start your engines!
What a convenient OD from our anthrax murderer. On codiene and tylenol none the less (not easy to do)
Case solved! Nothing to see here...
MSNBC: Wal-Mart mobilizes against Democrats: report
I am SHOCKED.
Wal-Mart - an American Institution like Baseball, Motherhood, Apple Pie and Endless War - attempting to influence an election.
SHOCKED I am.
Alice X - trolling for perfection (Chomsky Nader) - status quObama - change you can pretend in - @ 11:
i think steven hatfill should be given the legal greenlight to kick ashcroft's pasty ass from maryland to oregon. with a stop off at the largest ball of twine, just for pictures.
but really, this story--conveniently ignored by the govt and the msm for years--has some real legs.
Alice X - trolling for perfection (Chomsky Nader) - status quObama - change you can pretend in - @ 11:
Was there ever any doubt?
And what a pity .. he got suicided before he could talk.
Remember William Casey anyone?
pissed off patricia @ 10:
Yeah .. but what's "best for the country" is rarely what is best for USA Inc.
It's only a shame if you're one of us who isn't worth at least tens of millions of dollars.
Alice X - trolling for perfection (Chomsky Nader) - status quObama - change you can pretend in - @ 11:
I sure hope he left a diary somewhere and with someone who will release it to the press.
pissed off patricia @ 17:
I hope they release it to Glenn Greenwald, the press, where have they been?
MountainMan23 @ 13:
you beat me to the punch mountainman23! fnord! fnord! fnord!
that story is really should illuminate--for those still in the dark about the nature of wal mart--just what this anti-democratic behemoth is all about.
wal mart: slavery is such an ugly word. we exploit it, you save! just *ahem* don't think about the job you lost... at least you can buy cheap chinese goods!
The Republican economy: Joblessness at at 4-year high http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080801/ap_on_bi_go_ec_fi/economy and that's with "compassionate conservative" George Bush pushing unemployed Americans off jobless benefit payment rolls to make his numbers look better.
Something to think about:

Samson- @ 19:
And anyone who still "loves the Clintons" and thinks Bill's Presidency was a great thing has only to look at their role in bringing Wal Mart to life.
Hillary - lawyer for Wal Mart.
Bill - NAFTA with no provision for labor or emvironmental protections.
yuk
Bill Clinton did as much to destroy the American Dream as GW Bush.
Wal-Mart requires employees to attend meetings stressing the downside of Democrats winning in November.
Congratulations to Mad Kane! Scott Horton is always sharp.
Thanks so much for mentioning my award!
