People are Hitting McCain with POW

You are running for President of the United States, you are expected to be accountable to the people of this country. Of course I and every other citizen respects your sacrifice as well as every other former POW, but you have voluntarily undertaken this campaign. We the people are allowed, and even expected, to question some of your basic qualifications and financial background.

Open Letter to Senator John McCain: What about Floyd James Thompson and the other POW's?

and

McCain stabbed his fellow POWs in the back. This isn't about whether he confessed under torture, or whether he funded veterans issues, or not. This is about how he took the lessons it was his sad destiny to suffer, and turned them into their opposite. In pushing and voting for the MCA, with its provisions against habeas corpus, and its endorsement of so-called "enhanced" interrogation techniques, such as waterboarding, McCain has committed a great moral sin. He has done this in the name of pride and power.

McCain, POWs, & the Stab in the Back

I have to say ... The BackBone Poster Slogan is really great!

the DNC set is pretty nice. At first I thought it was a bit girly but it was better then I thought it would look.

Video: McCain “Americans Won’t Pick Lettuce for $50/hr”

Let's be ready for blogging next week on the Repugnant convention.
It occurred to me this morning that if the repugnants are going to continue to missuse the democratic adjective by saying, “democrat party,” we can drop the e in corporate and call them the elite corporats or how about elite corporat republican lobbyists. Pass it along if you can.

Last night on MSNBC they were doing their usual talk amongst themselves bit and in the background were all sorts of signs and posters. One guy was holding up a tee shirt and the picture on the shirt was a cartoon donkey humping a cartoon elephant. The caption below the picture was, Make love not war. I guess the camera people didn't notice the shirt but the cartoon was plain as hell and funny as hell.

This is interesting from Democrats.com on mccain.:

The United States cannot afford the risk that McCain would die suddenly in the middle of an international crisis.

Nor can we afford the risk of dementia. 22% of Americans over 70 are affected by mild cognitive impairment, while 13% of Americans over 65 have Alzheimer's. Ronald Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at age 83, but early signs were evident during his first term. Britain's "Iron Lady" Margaret Thatcher developed dementia at age 75.

McCain has never had an Alzheimer's test, even though he has 6 of the 10 warning signs , including his inability to remember recent facts like the number of homes he owns, the $1M lawsuit he filed in 1990, or the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

John McCain owes America a thorough neurological examination for cognitive impairment and possible Alzheimer's long before Election Day.

The mean side of me is looking forward to watching the repub convention and enjoying their fawning of America love, and bowing down to McCain to kiss his ring. This could be entertainment if approached with the right state of mind.

and with the right amount of wine...

We should just replay that Mario Cuomo speech again this year. 24 years later and still fighting for the same things. And things have actually gotten worse since the Reagan Era. Pitiful.

Russian, Chinese Presidents Discuss Georgia Crisis.

My heart dropped

Aparanetly Russian President Dmitry Medvedev discussed the crisis in Georgia with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao Wednesday, as Moscow looked to bolster support in its diplomatic standoff with the West.

Wednesday, China said it was "concerned" about Medvedev's move but otherwise refrained from criticism.

"China is concerned of the latest development in South Ossetia and Abkhazia," the official Xinhua news agency quoted foreign ministry spokesman Qin Gang as saying.

"We have a knowledge of the complicated history and reality of the South Ossetia and Abkhazia issues," Qin said.

Scary that China has become the swing Vote.

Russia and the US will use all their allies and resources if this becomes WW3
(Advantage for Russia, US is strapped in Iraq)

Not to make countries evil
But if China went with Russia instead of US there is going to be a Global Massacre of the Western World

It will be in the fault of Bush and Propaganda America

Here's a question...who passes their test?

Does McCain pass the neurological test or does Bush pass the sobriety test?

Well...might as well repeat myself.

I'm starting to hate when I'm right.

Just FYI - the highly obscure activist blog Les Enragés.org will undoubtedly be getting there 100,000th visitor this afternoon. Drop by, and it could be you. Sorry, no door prize is on offer.

in regards to Canada being in Afganistan. We went there as part of NATO, NOT because we're flunkies of king george and the us.
Our current PM Stephen Harper wants nothing more than to have Canada suck up to george, but I know I want nothing to do with america.
And finally Canada had nothing to do with the "coalition of the willing in Iraq" because our PM at the time Jean Cretien had the balls to tell george not only no but "HELL NO"

When Brad Pitt said, "The twins are doing fine," was he referring to his kids or Angelina's tits?

Hey Angelina, I'm up for adoption!

Great Cuomo speech!
