This Week: In Memoriam

This week we note the passing of Rick Wright, founding member of legendary band Pink Floyd, Green party activist and Ralph Nader's 2004 running mate, Peter Camejo, and famed yacht designer Olin Stephens. We also note the passing of 13 soldiers and marines killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

and let's face it, this week we mourn the passing of the last remnant of john mccain's dignity.

the sad, little marionette can't even dance on beat to the energizer bunny anymore...

and does anyone know if it's true mccain managed to lose 5 aircraft?

how the hell does someone lose 5 aircraft?

even howard hughes only lost 3...

Pink Floyd. Love that band.

"All in all we're just another brick in the wall."

Ain't it the truth?

His flight status would of been pulled after he crashed into the power lines; except, daddy was a big time Admiral.

richard wright's up there tap dancing on the cosmic keyboard, reigning holy hell upon economic terrorists everywhere...

Got a figure for the number of civilians in foreign countries that have been killed, wounded or raped by American soldiers?

I appreciate the weekly memorial but it always strikes me as strange and melancholy 2 that the fallen combat personnel are not listed by name along with the famous and somewhat famous people.

The names of at least two U.S. servicemen killed in action on Wednesday in Eastern Afghanistan were omitted.

While Sec. Gates was in Kabul apologizing for wayward bombs, (just a day before announcing that he
thinks we should change our strategy in Afghanistan), Sgt. Jason Vasquez and Spc. Joshua Harris were killed
in an IED attack.

The omission is understandable? What difference does it make, they'll be mentioned next week?

I didn't realize Rick Wright was not only a founding member of Pink Floyd, but was also a Green Party activist and Ralph Nader's 2004 running mate. You learn something new on here every day. Oops, wait a minute...

Oh, I see. Another very poorly constructed sentence.

Reading that heading sentence, I felt like I was playing Sudoku while being stung by bees.

Richard Wright was a great musician and a true class act.
