The O'Jays Ships Ahoy album was released on this day, November 10th, in 1973. The record's centerpiece "For The Love Of Money." The song sent a message of the evils of greed and and how people need to observe some self-control. Over the years though it has sadly been adopted as a theme song by the same folks it was warning the people about. No one ever said though that having a lot of dough always equals having a lot of smarts. After all, look who won the election.
