Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said on Sunday that the team was planning the largest protest yet against President Donald Trump and his attacks on players who refused to stand during the nation's anthem.
247Sports reported that it "would be by far the biggest national anthem protest yet."
Jamie Erdahl of CBS Sports confirmed that the Steelers would indeed be staying in the locker room during the playing of the national anthem on Sunday.
Mike Tomlin just told me @NFLonCBS #Steelers will NOT be participating in the #NationalAnthem today in CHI. Staying in the locker room.
