thier really is dark days in monkey city, welcome to hell

they're there, their and they're

so there!

so thiers really not dark days in monkey city?

makes me wonder how many portugese water dogs thier are at the dog pound? the least i saw a portugese water dog listed for was 1500 bucks

i see you decided to answer your own question.

Rescue.

Each breed has people who handle rescue, which takes place when someone buys a dog but can't keep it for whatever reason. They call the breeder they got it from, or someone who knows a rescue group, however they reach them, and the dog goes into rescue, meaning someone gets it, evaluates it for temperament, health, and all that, spays or neuters it, and then finds it a good home.

I handle rescue for my breed. I have gotten six month old puppies and old dogs. My last several dogs have been rescues.

15 hour days are starting to piss me off!

I hope all is well. :<[)

I have just a few more minutes to play catch up on events, myself.

ALWAYS good to see you!!!

?

a lazy boy recliner!

They're three towns off I-10 in the lazy ex-president's state of Texas I saw as I drove from Houston to New Mexico.

all right it was just a lucky guess !

what's up...

hi bullfroggy oh just been thinking i might peel of my union suit and take my yearly bath , i have to do it in layers with a scraper ,

does wonders for the complexion!

cant if i want to wear it again next year it might shrink !

if i'm ever in one, i want to portray a union soldier, i want ed norton to play "honest abe", and i want that exorcist from "poltergeist" playing mary todd!!

he he froggy a union suits the old style underwear with the trap door in the seat of your drawers, we were furnished them in korea in the winter , hated them but they were warm,

Spring is coming to the peninsula now. Some of my plants are putting up some green outside. At any rate, winter looks done for another year.

I did like your (lazy boy recliner) answer though tyree!!

yeah i thought it was funny edwin ever get to inchon?

Incheon is becoming a big city. The new Seoul airport (lovely, best in Asia!!) is located off the coast on an island there. I went once, years ago, for a day on the coast. There's a sort of boarwalk and some amusement parks now. Bet it didn't look like that back in the 50s, eh!!!!

Ot was probably dirt poor, an open sewer, etc. Not any more!!!

In a scathing rebuke to Rush Limbaugh, CBS' David Letterman excoriated the conservative talk show host while talking to CBS anchor Katie Couric on the network's 'Late Show' Monday night.

"What about this bonehead Rush Limbaugh? Honest to God, I mean, what is going on there?" Letterman said.

"Dave, don't do this to me, please," Couric interjected. "Don't do this to me."

"He gets up in Washington and he's the keynote speaker at some function and he comes up and he looks like an East European gangster," Letterman continued. "He's got the black jacket on, the black silk shirt and it's unbuttoned like, oh yeah, when you think Rush Limbaugh, you think, 'Ooh, let's see a little flesh.' Honestly. What is he doing?"

Oh snap! :O

NOTHING. she means well, but she's doing diddly-squat.

even if she did 1/3 as much actual journalism in one year that you, cointelpro, do in one week, her corporate leash-holders would real her back in.

But she's chickenshit. Like a lot of journalists these days, unfortunately.

your on kind of late tonight!

my sleeping habits are being ridiculed by an 80 year old man.

have i lost a step, or what?!

froggy im 74 not 80 hell ill be dead before i reach that age!

just messin' with ya, ty...

and you'll certainly live to be 80, if you lay off the denny's omelettes..!

Don't say that Tyree! Maybe I'm just superstitous, but I always have to jump in when someone says that! :)

'til my girl and i visit him, he shows me how to fire a rifle properly, we hit denny's for breakfast, and i record his stories for the ages...

and maybe some slopes at paoli peaks (even if it's just bunny slopes!)

If you're going to rob a Denny's, go late on a Fri or Sat night. Lot's of rich drunk kids there around 2-3 AM, FYI...

generaly i get robed at dennys since they raised the prices!

It's kind of them to offer you a robe.

yeah thier nice folks at dennys its late and i got to get to bed, ment robbed just sometimes i think i hit the keys for the word and didnt , stuff happens ,night all!

Good night! :)

If you're 74, were you responsible for cleaning them out of free birthday breakfasts? Curse you!!!!

hell i been missing out , i didnt know about the free birthday meal!

seven years ago (?)

Was good in case none of your friends or family wanted to take you out. Or were drunk and needed a late-night breakfast...

isn't that a soviet model?

i hope you're not a commie spy, tyree, or i will feel utterly betrayed!!

well as they say the ak47 is the prefered weapon of the enemy , its a good weapon froggy mines egyptian made , the chinese made aks better but hard to come by. and the ammos cheaper then the m16

Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot by Senator Franken? :)

Did you like it? I almost checked it out from the library yesterday, am considering doing that when I go back to volunteer again.

YES! I read it and you must too. I think you'll love or at least like it a whole lot.

Drove west from TX to NM today, where about 10mi west of Las Cruces, they funnel traffic down to a single lane inspection station. There, after about a 20 minute wait, I get to the guy, who asks me, "Are you a US citizen?" My response: SI!. I thought he was going to pull me out of my truck, but I just pissed him off...

"My response: SI!. I thought he was going to pull me out of my truck, but I just pissed him off..."

Honestly, if something that silly bothers him, he's got way too short a fuse and needs to find another line of work.

SI?

si? sy? sew?

mel blanc on johnny carson, 1974 (go to about 2:30 in)

RIP.

i've been watching everything with him on youtube i can find.

Sounds cool, I'll hafta give it in a listen in the morning. Compy is going real slow right now.

GNA! :)

on Larry King now.

I watched. She suggested shooting Rush Limbpbag for treason. She figured it's crazy season, so why not? It was actually a pretty good Larry King. The GOP was ridiculed.

We MUST RIDICULE them to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(For now though-- we can just watch them do it themselves.)

Happy Square Root Day. Obama continues the fight against shelter for tax evaders. His budget director stands up to critics.
Citigroup finally cares about low-income people. Bill Gates is an insecure dick at home, too. The Brits were into illegal spying during the Cold War, too. Obama tries to bring back detente. If Congress cares that much about cigarettes, why hasn't it done anything about the dead mice and mice shit found at the peanut butter plant?! Oh, wait, tobacco is "bad" for you, but salmonella's no biggie. We're paying too much for the Prison-Industrial Complex. SCOTUS finally stands on the minority side over a local school ban on prayer. Same-sex married couples in Massachusetts sue the feds for back taxes. Looks like we don't really care about what Kim Jong-Il thinks. Some asshole sets back medical marijuana a decade by lighting a bong with his cat. Barry tries to encourage us to invest again. Another pedo-rapist does jail time.

I had a young guy on a crew some years back whose birthday was 6/9/69. Talk about the most perfect bar pick-up/intro EVER!

was apparently not about 1969. Just so you know :)

.

Whenever I hear "Cuts Like I Knife", I change it to "F*cks Like My Wife"...

it is about 1969:
Based on his writing partners Jim Vallence's reminicences ... (hes 10 years older than Adams.)
http://www.jimvallance.com/01-music-folder/so...

and thanks for posting it. I wish I could remember where I heard that the song was not about '1969' ... oh well.

I like his music, and his 'Have you ever really loved a woman?' is one of my faves. He's gone far in life and has done a lot of good things for worthy causes. Not too bad for a high-school drop-out!

It's nice to know that the only concern for McCain's daughter is a series of bad dates.

Seems Faux fell for the lampoon news story of 'Beer Pong causes herpes'

very funny to watch the 'serious' TV celebs on Faux Breakfast TV prove themselves to be the total shithead bimbos and pathetic specimens they are.

Fox sources their 'news' from the Onion :O LMAO

Has Obama fired all the Bushco AG appointees, or are they still lurking in their respective states, plotting.

over 50% have resigned. The others I don't know for sure what's happening.

n/t

A bunch of them are still on temporarily. They will be going, but apparently, Obama has some other fish to fry right now.

Steve Benen (Washington Monthly) and ThinkProgress had stories about it about a month or so ago.

Missing link between fructose, insulin resistance found

A new study in mice sheds light on the insulin resistance that can come from diets loaded with high-fructose corn syrup, a sweetener found in most sodas and many other processed foods. The report in the March issue of Cell Metabolism, a Cell Press publication, also suggests a way to prevent those ill effects.

Got to get coffee first.

Hello,Tyree,...had to get in posting line.Your comment about Waterdogs
are rarely found in pounds, but there rescue organizations that specialize in one breed, for almost all major breeds.
The Obamas are getting theirs from one such no kill rescue organization.Like your posts..take care.
Dnurse

I just got a Yorkie from a rescue group. They foster the dogs until they can find a home for them. Hopefully some Waterdog will be fortunate enough to become the next first dog. Talk about a lucky dog :)

hello debby thnx i know about the rescue breeds just figured a portagese water dog was pretty rare for anyone to give up to a rescue i d of got a new sheltie from a rescue myself after my other one passed but they dont like to give one to older folks so i bought one from a breeder, hes grown now and paying me back for takeing him away from his mom;]

My breed has about 500 animals (total) in the US. And we rarely get rescues...but we do on occasion.

Last year we had six at one time...something that had never happened before.

There are thousands of PWD's in the US. I think the Obama's have a good chance of finding what they want.

My folks used to work with Irish Wolfhound rescue years ago. Talk about a difficult breed to find good homes for...

Obama listened to McCain, and has chosen to improve federal contracting bids.

Stewart last night pointed out Obama's likeness to Bush. Stewart actually say WTF about staying in Iraq. GOOD! Olberman you ready?

I took a long drive around last night, central PA still :(. I hardly saw any house for sale signs, seemed very normal to me. Of'coarse I drove around the 2 military bases , that is central PA. Not a single foreclosure sign, but I was just renting an apartment at a house that was foreclosed with no sign posted. Republican tricks all around here far and wide.

I was strong armed by my last landlord that made my throat and lungs burn with a bacterial infection. His apartment is extremely Toxic, sewer fumes, mold, and bacteria infested apartment. I was told his family SANGREY would pursue legal actions against me, sheriff sales and law suite if I don't sign a release, so I signed under duress. The landlords played Republican tricks to make the illusion that his apartment isn't toxic, and I am just a liar. Little guy against a corrupt family and government has no chance. So I now have to live with the raw throat, painful lungs, and blood I cough up. I am a smoker they say, so I guess it's OK to screw me. I contacted state agency's gave them certified reports about the problems, nothing was done and the apartment has been re-rented, NEXT!

I travel quite a lot for business. I am currently in Malvern, PA, a place I was at just a few months ago. Not only do I see many, many homes on the market (I don't know if they list them as foreclosures, in IL they do not), but several of the businesses which were open just a few months ago have closed down. I see the same thing everywhere I have been both in PA and around the country.

I will say that this place seems harder hit than some of the places I have been.

foreclosure areas, recently, in the town of Oakley. Curiously, I saw NO foreclosure signs, though many houses that were obviously empty. Many had porch lights (at least) on. I think that maybe City forbids advertising them as foreclosed, possibly to prevent vandalism (just a guess...). Very eeery seeing streets that were 80% vacant yet all lit up at night.

Maybe the sign makers just can't keep up with the demand.

Harrisburg area's. Mainly Mechanicsburg, Carlisle, Siddonsburg. Cumberland and York County's. I was driving through a few church towns and military towns, still have cars in the parking lots and all. Maybe I'll go around again with a video camera. I just want out and away from this area, ASAP, so I might not go again.
They play tricks around here, it wouldn't surprise me one bit the realitors and local banks got together to NOT post any signs.

What progress! And today, we have a female Secretary of War.

Having gone back through several days worth of threads...I could not help but notice that quite a few of my posts are gone...as are others.
One thread in particular, had over 150 posts last friday...today...90...
Why the censorship C&L?
This strikes me as incongruous with liberal ideals.
I understand the oh so pressing need to keep the thread on topic, but to delete that many posts, seems somehow....what's the word I'm looking for...I dunno...it just seems wrong to me.

Wow that's a lot of posts. There are a lot of threads that after a while, may decay into conversations about the weather, or idle chatter, but some of those off topic conversations are cool.

Maybe they should go after the ones that have un-provoked personal attacks in them instead.

that isn't always about the topic at hand...
Sometimes I find the rigidity here a bit...stifling.

We just got blasted last night folks. 80 is closed. Over 3 feet fell last night at Tahoe and Kirkwood. Reports of 3-4 inches of snow an hr.
I don't know exactly where this storm is heading. But it is heading east. I think the plains will get dumped on this time. And they're stacked up out in the Pacific. Gonna be a long month. OK, off to work.hopefully.

I'm heading toward Vegas this AM, via Flagstaff. I better get on the road too.

It would have to rain for the whole month of March and parts of April to get us out of this drought. And I mean Dump rain. Non stop. Dumpin rain.. Be careful on the road fast. I have a feelin you'll be encountering hazardous road conditions.

I'd figure a good couple of weeks in March could get you at least to seasonal normal. Maybe not make up deficits from last year though.

Been lots of hazardous road conditions on my trip so far, but most of them have drivers' licenses...

Stay safe too muddy...

A man who lost his sight 30 years ago says he can now see flashes of light after being fitted with a bionic eye.

"Yahweh's Delicious Creation"
"Jesus and the Interpreter. A modern-day christian helps Jesus get started." are two examples of great videos.

I never realized he could actually speak!

Here is how Fareed missed the nature of America, and probably most of Asia and Europe. Americans would never kowtow voluntarily or involuntarily to a step back into the dark ages with Islam. American's will not learn to live with with Islam (radical or not). Therefore we have a problem.....do you know what it is?

Any form of Sharia law is unacceptable to the modern world. Just because the Taliban inflict their values locally does not mean they are not part of the global problem. If the choice between order and Sharia law is order to a muslim, I can assure you (and Fareed) it is not a difficult choice for an American, a German, Frenchman, Italian, Chinaman, or Russian to FIGHT for their freedom and the right to ignore Islam. Considering the prospects for women in a muslim world they will become tigresses in the face of being forced back into slavery whether it is orderly or not. The civilized world will not go back to Mohammed. Fareed calls Saddam a "secular failed tyrant'. I saw him as a force that maintained some order in a worn out land of clerical fanatics, divided by poverty, and over population. To assert that Shiite clerics and Sunni fundamentalists keep the USA from future 9/11's may be true, but realize that a 9/11 is just an incident, Iraq is just an invasion/occupation. Iran and Pakistan may have nukes, but the USA will not lose if there is such a conflict. Obama has said it deliberately, and every American feels it in his/her heart. They will not bow down to having their women stoned, uneducated, living in cloth bags. They will not grovel before mullahs, fatwas, or beheaders. I know it probably will never happen but Islamists better get their 'shit together' and come into the modern world with respect and tolerance for others, really quick. Can you predict now, what is going to happen, in the future, if Islamists continue on this path?
