25 lb fish caught. When gutted, they found a cell phone...that worked.

A little light hearted fun for a Friday night!

I am still pissed I got ripped off on my education. Only ever got to Algebra 2 before I left school, and I couldn't even concentrate from the harassment. I was getting 90's and hundreds, when I had a teacher that wasn't giving me unfair grades....Stupid Pennsylvania whores.

we can all join in and sing a rousing rendition of
“I Lobster And Never Flounder” (I Lobster Never Flounder)

I was a cook and she was a waitress,

Down at the Salty Dog Seafood Cafe;
And somewhere 'tween the clam juice and the seaweed salad,

Some little shrimp just lured her away.

Oh, I lobster and never flounder.
He wrapped his line around her,

And they drove off in his carp.

Oh, I lobster and never flounder

I octopus his face in, he'll only break her heart.
I said just squid and leave me for that piano tuna,

If you want to trout something new;

She was the bass I ever had, now my life has no porpoise,

Oh, my cod, I love her, yes, I do.
Oh, I lobster and never flounder.

He wrapped his line around her,

And they drove off in his carp.

Oh, I lobster and never flounder.

I octopus his face in, he'll only break her heart.

Spoken:
Frankly, Scallop, I don't give a clam....

mahers once again shows his ass again and says they should bust the teachers union ! how republican of him!

MGA1619's picture

Bill Mahers is just a hack. He pretends like he's some sort of liberal except he keeps getting busted by real ones. Janeane Garofalo kicked his butt a couple of times. He absolutely refuses to talk about 9/11 at all except to say that anyone with an opinion that differs at all from the line the Bush gang spouted is a nut and should get a life. I have no respect for him whatsoever.

tyree's picture

ok so im watching this movie on tv its about of college kids camping in the woods and they allready been chased by a saber tooth tiger and escape it , then later that night this college kids got to take a dump, so he leaves camp walks half a block into the woods with only a flashlite and a roll of toilet paper then the sabertooth tears his ass apart , now im wondering do they teach anything but frat partys and stupid in college!

That doesn't always translate into real life, but the spoiled ones are definitely more likely to be focused on parties and joining fraternities/soroities...

I've never seen change without a fire

MsJoanne's picture

By that asshat Sanford. He knew the state legislature would override him but he could keep his conservatard 'cred' when he runs for POTUS in 2012. This is soooooooooooo going to backfire. I would guess he wouldn't even win his own state.

I'm glad there's already a movement in the state legislature to override him, and I hope he gets hosed if he dares try to run for president.

Only time will tell, but I'm hoping that the more the so-called "Conservatives" cling to their discredited ideology, the more the American public rejects them.

So I think it's great that the SC Gov Sanford has stood up for his principles!!

.. and that the mayors - Republicans, Democrats and Independents - have united to tell him how wrong he is.

Republicans still continue to be out of touch with reality.
Over 14,000 defibrillators have been recalled. Amiano's argument for legalization. Barry gives up on the phrase enemy combatant, for some reason. He also has a problem with imaginary economics. Madoff's family is now under investigation, for some reason. China doesn't trust our Treasury, for some reason. It's not just South Carolina. The unemployed aren't wanted in Texas, either. But there's still hope, if they want it. The FBI isn't very responsive to FOIA. Pelosi hearts Congressional cash-grabs, I mean automatic pay-raises. The Vatican hearts screwing crippled people and children who are knocked up. The "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" charade continues. The "liberal" media argues Rush is "good" for the GOP.

*sigh*

This is one of these issues that rips my heart out. :( It angers me too. Shame on the misogynist Catholic church and other denominations like them! If anyone wants to see how the Catholic Church in Latin America bullies families of raped little girls and the little girls themselves, you need to see the documentary Rosita. I cried forever when I saw it...

A nine year old kid pregnant with twins by her father.

One more reason for me to hate the church.

I started hating the church when the then pope went to the then dried up Ethopia when people were starving and told them not to use condoms. When there were puffed out stomached kids shown daily on the news. Heartless. Completely.

Annaleigh's picture
Yep

It is so awful, when they do these things to the defenseless and vulnerable, like Rosita, and the little Brazillian girl, they are sending them an awful message about the church, and ultimately about God. They are demonstrating to them at such an early age that God does not care about them, and what was done to them, only that they have a womb, and that is in a nutshell all they are valued for.

Getting excommunicated from the church is perhaps the best thing to happen to these girls and their families... :(

So, we're playing around over at TheZoo, so I thought I would start it here....

Tell us…

* What car did you learn to drive on?
* Who taught you, and how well?
* First car owned?
* Worst car owned?
* Worst/funniest driving experiences?
* Sex in car? (respond only if you have a funny story).
* Best/worst road trips?
* Five cars you would like to have, money no object
* Crappiest car you’ve ever seen, been driven in?

Ok, guys and gals…the floor is yours! Drive her home!

Nowwhat's picture
...

Your bad.

I learned to drive in a 1978 datsun 720 5 speed pick-up, I wasn't taught was more like dumping a kid in water seeing if he will swim.

First car was a 1981 datsun 210 that was wrecked into a telephone pole I had to fix it before I could drive.

Worst car.... maybe i liked them all, but 1980 toyota tercel.

How is sex in a car funny? 1991 nissan sentra in 1992 she hardly had any miles on her and I am not talking about the car. :P

Never had a good road trip, your crazy.

I want a 1978 ford bronco, Audi a4 turbo, porsche 912, porche 911, any giant diesel dually truck doesn't really matter.
Basically I want Jay Leno's collection, or even Sienfelds.

Only guy with the balls to respond. I left some out because it sucks.

miss_kitty's picture

* What car did you learn to drive on? My dad tried to teach me on his Cadillac - it was a land yacht, and I swear, the only thing I could do without making my dad pee himself was parallel park perfectly, every time. I really learned to drive a Hillman Minx Estate Wagon, a 57. The bf taught, and he was really sweet about it.

* Who taught you, and how well? See above

* First car owned? Hillman, see above. First one I bought all by myself is the car I drive today, a 92 Honda Civic EX. I bought it in 1991.

* Worst car owned? VW Beetle

* Worst/funniest driving experiences? My car has been in the body shop about 20-25 times, all but 2 times, the other guys fault. The guy who owns the shop is called Steve. His kid went to private school.

* Sex in car? (respond only if you have a funny story). Well, the guy I had sex (and it wasn't REALLY sex, according to the 42nd Pres ;) ) with in a car had a funny story about having sex in a car. He took his date to SeaTac Parking Garage, and they were getting busy, when an announcement came over the loudspeaker said "Would the couple in the Volvo on level 6 stop having sex in the car? We really don't want to come up there."

* Best/worst road trips? I drove down to Central California with my dog in 2006. It was great.

* Five cars you would like to have, money no object. I love my car. Money no object, I'd send that bad boy for a compleat make over.

* Crappiest car you’ve ever seen, been driven in? Any car my mom was driving.

Edwin's picture

Oh, my! I went to Driver's Ed.. Never owned a car, but I take a lot of taxis. I dislike all road trips that take more than 20 minutes. I don't want any car (money no object), but might need one, one day (depending on where I live.) I'm happy to ride in any car-- no embarrassment. (I think I'm not in the mainstream.) :-)

in my '68 Dodge pick-up (automatic) that had an 8" straight shift lever with a 3" ball that sprouted straight out from the center of the dash. She stripped down, threw her feet on the back window and slapped her ass repeatedly on the dash for about ten minutes. All while I was driving up the Grapevine from south of Bakersfield to Ft. Canada Should Bar or Prosecute Bush: Lawyer

As George W. Bush's St. Patrick's Day visit to Calgary draws near, the federal government is facing pressure from activists and human rights lawyers to bar the former U.S. president from the country or prosecute him for war crimes and crimes against humanity once he steps on Canadian soil.

Bush is scheduled to speak at the Telus Convention Center March 17, but Vancouver lawyer Gail Davidson says that because Bush has been "credibly accused" of supporting torture in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Canada has a legal obligation to deny him entry under Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. The law says foreign nationals who have committed war crimes or crimes against humanity, including torture, are "inadmissible" to Canada.

"The test isn't whether the person's been convicted, but whether there's reasonable grounds to think that they have been involved," says Davidson, who's with Lawyers Against the War (LAW). "...It's now a matter of public record that Bush was in charge of setting up a regime of torture that spanned several parts of the globe and resulted in horrendous injuries and even death. Canada has a duty."

this has become an industry right next to the "financial industry". Everyone is now a human resources expert. It's all bullshit. If you apply for a job with me, I don't give a rat's ass how you are dressed, or what you look like, or how many times you look me in the eye and cross your legs. If you are qualified/experienced, you get the job. If somebody is hiring you for any other reason, then the job will either not last, or isn't going to pay enough to be worth taking anyway.

MikeD's picture

But not completely. I guess it depends on the type of job as well. If you are interviewing a carpenter then you pretty much just care if they can do whatever it is a carpenter does. But a lot of jobs require communication and interaction with people as a major part. Even for jobs where you think interaction might not be that essential like a computer programmer it actually is. You can only tell so much from a resume. From the interview you can often tell if the person is full of themselves, really knows what they are talking about, can explain themselves, etc.

It was JFK going for the throat of his republican opponent for the president, Dick Nixon (and no one ever deserved it moree). You hardly expect someone to be "bipartisan" when talking about their opponent. JFK actually tried to govern in a bipartisan manner. He had republicans in his cabinet and he reached out to the other side quite a bit. He got as much or more grief from the racist war mongering democrats in the south as the republicans.

well the times have changed with the houses , front porches are mostly gone except for some with small cubby holes not big enough to set a potted plant on, and today people are afraid of each other if you say hello as you pass by them they many times give you a scowel and say nothing , and they dont want thier children talking to strangers maby you cant blame them but its a shame that its that way, perhaps the reason i tell my storys here is no different then my old friend on that porch , sometimes i think its not smart to let others know you to much on a blog , some tend to use what they know against you, anyway i remember when i finally got home for good the kids in the neiborhood came by and asked me for a sailor hat, i grabed my seabag and started handing out every thing in it , for months i saw kids wearing white hats and every thing else i gave them, i wasnt supposed to because i still had two yrs in the inactive reserves , but i said to hell with them they got thier four yrs of blood from me and id kill any son of a bitch who tried to get me back, so the only thing i kept was my dress blues i stored them in the closet, one day a few yrs later i decided to look at them well they werent there , i asked my dad if he knew where they went , he sheepishly said i was afraid youd go back in so i gave them away, now yrs later i think that he probably either sold them for beer money or traded them for a bottel of booze , at any rate it dont matter anymore, i still had my dog tags and i buried one in arlington cemetary and one on the grounds of the korean war memmorial, its all good folks ! just somes better!
