Comedy Central's "Moment Of Zen" featured Chris Cuomo (GMA News) mistakenly calling Sarah Palin's memoir "Going Rouge" instead of "Going Rogue" in a Sept. 29 newscast.
But you're right - your twisted mind coined the term a day earlier!

Former U.S. president George W. Bush garners noisy protest in Edmonton
By Mary Jo Laforest (CP) – 23 hours ago
EDMONTON — While former U.S. president George W. Bush talked about democracy inside a downtown Edmonton conference centre on Tuesday, hundreds of protesters were outside exercising their right to free speech with signs, songs and screams.
"Stop the killing, stop the war," the protesters chanted to the beat of a drum. They held signs that said "Bush is a war criminal;" "Bush lied, 1,000s died;" and "Canada is not Bush Country."
Several dozen police officers kept protesters away from the front of the Shaw Conference Centre and as the crowd grew, metal barricades went up between the police and the crowd.
Marilyn Gaa, who holds both American and Canadian citizenship, held a three-metre-tall black-clad Grim Reaper with a sign on his back that said: "GWB I am your biggest fan" and on the front, "Thanks for 8 great years."
"For the eight years that George Bush was president I was profoundly ashamed and alarmed and angry and now it seems so unfair that he's making a world tour trying to share his 'wisdom' and make a lot of money," said Gaa.
Edmonton businessman Aroon Sequeira saw it differently.
"I think people are entitled to voice their opinions and I'm equally interested in hearing what president Bush has to say inside."

I'm not affiliated with WaPo, but have a very different viewpoint. As to the contest being open only to people who don't contribute to a major national publication, I think it's terrific that they're looking for amateurs instead of the "villagers" who are always criticized at C&L. And as for the guys in the video implying that the average blogger has "access" to as many eyeballs as a columnist for WaPo, what a joke. How many readers does the average blogger get per day? 10? 20? And that includes relatives.
It seems to me that the contest is a great opportunity to place a blogger, maybe a commenter to C&L, with a very different perspective than the MSM villagers, right inside the MSM where he or she can shake things up, offer some fresh facts and opinions, and get his or her points across to lots of people who might not normally be exposed to that perspective. That seems like a win-win for the blogosphere to me.
DFHs need not apply.
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust.
There's a strong indication from the contest's fine print that the last thing the organizers want is someone who will "shake things up." They could have asked Digby, Driftglass, John Amato, and the fine folks at Wonkette to shake things up, offered to split the $2600 between the four of them, and at least three would have taken up the offer.
It's really, really clear that the paper that fired Froomkin does not want Dean Broder's panties in a twist over some amateur contest winner. Time will tell but if someone from NRO makes it to the semifinals, the betting pool owes me five bucks.
the last thing they want to do is shake things up a bit

Probably the most offensive thing I've read all year. We need more economic equality. I don't like socialism but we have to find a way to reach it fairly.

Thanks, I think. Facing the Class War is daunting. The fact that we have this load of non-producing, scum at the top always keeping the less 'advantaged' 'in line' as in low wages for their honest, hard work enriching the scum at the top.
No thanks, we already have one!!

The left hates everything America and its private power structure stands for. The right hates everything American government stands for and most of its non-white, non-evangelical American people. Clearly this strong hatred of things American provides a common thread from which a solid banner of compromise can be woven into a balanced sow's ear purse.
Plus, with global warming restoring Texas to the largest American state on the planet and Mexico (which we can see from our back porch) filling our maternity wards, we need a voice in Washington that has been silenced by the expulsion from our nation's capital of many people who gained power by pretending to be Texans.
Therefore a Texan should be selected as the winner of the contest to take the late Mr. Broder's job.

I'm hearing it out of Cincinnati (don't know if that's where it originates, or just what I'm picking up. Strong signal from Atlanta to Gainesville so far. All sorts of truckers call in from the road live. Interesting to hear perspectives from people who keep odd hours and probably don't spend much time online or at teabagger events. A lot of these folks are not nearly as hardcore RWers as you'd expect.

Anti-zionists are becoming a lot like the anti-global warming contingent on the right. Oil companies can't come up with a reason to rip us off this time. On a related note, a gas pump near me had an anti-"cap and trade" banner which argued that I'd be ripped off by paying 77 cents more per gallon, and which I'm sure wasn't sponsored by a faceless corporation which doesn't want to do anything about global warming. It's also funny that they didn't care about that kind of thing last year...Homes will continue to lose value. Twenty-three states have had higher unemployment in September. Waddya know? Diplomacy works. Biracial children don't have it that bad. Colleges look for more ways to make education worth somethig, other than actually justifying higher costs. Obama apparently agrees with me on the subject. Gates wants permanent occupation of Okinawa. Cali sues a bank over pension fraud. Barry swears we're leaving Iraq, so why does he still care about elections? Barry also talks tough against firms which got bailed-out by giving them smaller bonuses. The manufactured ACORN-gate continues. Thanks for giving Limbaugh more ammo, bitch. Meanwhile, China's already back on top.

My first reaction too: Get out Zionists! And screw fake discrimination claims from the JDL.
Jewish people and the state of Israel are fine. But the Zionists are nothing more than very well funded fundamentalists.

Glad you liked my version, lol. I'm not flattering myself to say that if you made a negative of Skoal Rebel, um, that would be me...
To protect Obama! WTF?! Who came up with that idea of cutting their budget?
That's a disturbing article.
Maybe I've been watching too many movies but don't investigators of financial crimes and people protecting the president have different areas of discipline and expertise?
And they are transferring the duties to the treasury department? Its a pretty well established fact that the treasury department has the majority of the crooks from wall street in its staff.
Start with Geithner and work your way down.
Financial Crimes???
WTF??
No wonder the Wall Street Banker Boyz are getting away with robbing the Treasury!

Is anyone watching Morning Joe this morning? He appears to be wearing the same clothes he had on yesterday morning, he doesn't look fresh shaven and he is messing up his words. Is he drunk? I mean to me it sure seems something is wrong.

Hey Pop,
He is in San Diego and it's what?...a little after 4 in morn out there. What time do the bars close in So Cal? More important, has MSNBC taken a headcout of all their interns at the San Diego studio?
He's done shows from Cal before and he never seemed like he does today. Even Mika is looking at what he's saying like he has lost his screwin' mind. He and Lawrence O'Donnell (sp?) just had a hell of an argument. He attacked Lawrence personally and then said Lawrence attacked him personally. Something is wrong I tell ya. When you go batshit defending cheney, you must be messed up in some way.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Puffy eyed with a red nose and a little more combative than usual. Either he's got a buzz on or he has the flu. Or both perhaps?
He seems to be getting it together as time goes on. Maybe the coffee is kicking in or the buzz is wearing off.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Could be a little hair of dog's perked him up a little bit. They were showing some old clips of them doing shots of Bacardi a bit ago. Maybe ol' Joe is sipping on a rum and coke off camera. You know, trying to right the wreck.
I saw those clips and thought it was funny considering what was going through my mind today.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Oh well, past my bedtime. Third shift is a bitch. Good talking to you Pop. See ya around.
Sweet Dreams!

Obama "must do what it takes to win" in Afghanistan. The irony is so fucking thick that I could use it to bludgeon Cheney. Or is hypocrisy the word I'm looking for?
Note to Obama Administration, in this article alone, he just gave you all the ammunition you'll ever need to shut his foul, sneering mouth once and for all. PLEASE USE IT!!!
that his regular deliveries of opium will be interrupted if Obama doesn't "do what it takes to win."
As no one really seems to be able to tell the truth and explain why we're really in Afghanistan in the first place (OBL is dead and AQ is gone), what is it we're trying to WIN? And, how will we know we won??
