By bluegal Sunday Nov 30, 2008 8:30pmfrom Hitchcock's Notorious (1946). Filmsite.org notes:
The film is known for having at the time of its production 'the longest kiss in film history.' [Director Alfred Hitchcock circumvented the Hollywood code limiting a kiss to three seconds by interrupting the kiss every three seconds, but they never once break their embrace.]

Wow. How very much things have changed.
So, madam wise one (that would be you, BG, or anyone else whom might have the answer); what is the longest kiss in a film ever?
"Attack of the sucker fish" in 3D? ..lol.
One can only imagine THAT scene!
I saw this which got cut from: "Great Scout and the Cat house Tuesday"..with Lee Marvin. He kissed the head of a rattlesnake in a cowboy bar,and the bad guy said: "I've got something you can kiss."...instant fight..lol
in Big Top Pee Wee.
with the alien face hugger and John Hurt.
..which Matt Stone and Trey Parker shared in Baseketball.
I mean, I love those two knuckleheads, but..
the kiss between Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint in North by Northwest. On a train. Wow.

If you can figure out how to make out with yourself, do post it on YouTube! I, for one, would find it highly amusing. :-)
Moms Mabley comes to mind.
A blast from the past! Although, having moms Mabley and kissing in the same thought CREEPS ME OUT! :-)
but it can be funny!
Love Moms, when people asked her:"Where have you been?" she would say: "Where did you leave me?"...lol.

Check it out..
Thanks.
false flag ops are outlawed by geneva. if you believe what this post asks, you first have to prove that madrid, the tube attacks, etc were contrived. otherwise you just have a treaty for..what? personally, im on your side but going about it this way is like spitting in the wind.
...I urege you to watch the movie "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso".

I'm not known as a sentimental guy but this movie actually brought me to tears. A very powerful movie. And I'm not the only one who is saying that. You can find praise all over the web concerning this movie.
Not one single thing wrong with a man who is sentimental. Actually, I think it's damned hot (and I doubt I am the only woman to think so).
Thanks for the 411.
Something, We Can All Get Behind: UAW wants limits on carmakers' executive pay
If the company was profitable, people got bonuses. Now they want extra compesation for failing.
*I* do not get bonuses if our company is in the shitter. It is an outrage that a bonus has become di rigeur instead of something which is earned.
Depending on who you believe, mainstream Wall Street commentators for the lower or WSW for the higher figure.
And amid the economic meltdown and mega bailout $70 Billion forecast for year ending 2008 !!!!

I suppose WS are worried that they might lose staff if they don't pay them so much to stay in their miserable wage slave jobs.
... one of the great pleasures of life!
or as I fondly recall... :-)
I think I remember something a long time ago in a faraway land.
I spend lots o time in lands far away, there's nothing there, either. :-)
You always make me smile.
for both of us!! Smiles are good things!
That I have to be up in three hours to catch a flight...not so good.
Get some sleep young lady.
good one, MsJ!

Sending someone (Rice) to India (five days later) and the big dog is to be a special envoy, but he's not going?
She trying to get reservations at the 2 hotels under siege. They weren't returning her calls.
Like she ignored the PDBs.
Military bases prepare to "welcome" PTSD victims. Something you won't see in the mainstream media: Muslims who condemn the Mumbai attacks. High Black Friday sales ironically may have killed strong holiday sales across the board. Children might be forced to have a toy-less X-Mas this year. Chavez continues to "insist" the people make him President-for-Life. Good news for gay rights advocates. Milk ended up making one of the highest grosses per theater this weekend. In other good news, Murdoch's movie division is also hurting this year. Another idiot football player w/ a gun accidentally shoots himself.
I consider anything coming out of western MSM to be propaganda. We can't trust the MSM.
Did you catch the "socialist government" and "red-clad supporters" bit? Oooh...scary, scary.
Like Red State Alaska?
Hypocrites. Socialism is so bad except when they benefit from it.
Welfare State?
That toy story is disgusting. These parents should tell their kids that they did not buy them the toys not because they couldn't afford them, but because they love them and don't want them to die from the lead in them...that they are not safe.
That takes keeping up with the Joneses to a much better level. Your classmates may have gotten more crap, but we love you more. Love. Christmas. Imagine!
Great links.
I'm all for fewer "toys" this Christmas. Even though my family has been fortunate enough to get by without drastic troubles from the current economic crisis, we all made a pact to not give gifts but to donate to charities in need. It was great to see grandparents, cousins and everyone heartily agree to the arrangement. With so many struggling right now, we should spend less on crap from China and more on those who truly need help.
well i have to say it, mudshark was wrong, and its just an observation of mine and allso i believe i said something about it when the blog decided to only let posters comment if they registered , i watched americablogs posters dwindle to only a few posters it seems that c&l is heading down the same road, its starting to look like a small group only post here for the most part, its kind of like the great wall of china that kept out the hoards of mongols but started decaying with isolation , just an observation like i said!
Fancy graphics and limited content, coupled with a captive spoon fed audience, ripe for the marketeers.
Also C&L seems to be under new management, thats the impression I get, it seems to be steering away from the core concept of exposing corruption and wrong doing.
Remember C&L is shorthand for 'crooks and liars'.
Instead of blamimg C&L which is a blog, why don't you try to do your own research. C&L is not a news organization, they can only pass on what is reported elsewhere.
..C&L has been a regular stopping place for malicious hackers and trolls.
Crooks and Liars isn't as defenseless as it was not that long ago, so I'm still supportive of the new safeguards, like registration before posting.
It's a good thing :D
it is only a good thing if your only interested in reading the same things over and over again, thier are many great posters that are interesting people who just dont want to register but dont mind posting without it, and what are you protecting yourself from ? i thought blogs were a form of being able to discuse subjects with a great varity of people,a varity of different kinds of posters was what made this blog so interesting, if your only interested in being known as a blog that only wishes to worship obama then its gotten there, to many good posters have left , and i miss thier opinions,
But supposed to be a debating, exposing org.
Sometimes I provide a link and C&L has a post on it the next day. I don't know if they got it from me, but I know they got it.
..about anything, but that's my fault, mainly.
But if you and I were to engage in a heated debate about something, I'm sure that the site monitors would allow us to, as long as it was civil and informed.
a good thing, IMHO. things have calmed down since the election, but the passionate people here have left figurative 'welts' on each other and the sitemonitors have been ver good. Ad Hominem, or republican style, attackes are generally flagged, first with a warning and then with deletion. some have been banned for excessive or continuous bad behavior.
I suppose I should try to catch a couple of hours of shut eye before flying out.
Cheers all around.
Flying Spaghetti Monster speed, MsJoanne
travel well and safely.
and all the best to you. Cheers!
It all goes back to Bush.
-Was just about to link to this this myself. Again, a little too late for the media to start doing their job, unfortunately. But at least they're finding evidence of what we all expected to be true...
"The Bush administration backed off proposed crackdowns on no-money-down, interest-only mortgages years before the economy collapsed, buckling to pressure from some of the same banks that have now failed. It ignored remarkably prescient warnings that foretold the financial meltdown...
"Bowing to aggressive lobbying — along with assurances from banks that the troubled mortgages were OK — regulators delayed action for nearly one year. By the time new rules were released late in 2006, the toughest of the proposed provisions were gone and the meltdown was under way."
Heckava job.
Doctors aren't getting properly paid for vaccines.(Again.)
...for selling vaccines for hemophilia, that were contaminated with the aids virus. It is estimated that up to 1 million people got infected with aids as a result.
Here is Joe Scarboro discussing it. ...4 minute video

The Sexist Man Alive or sorry to say dead.
I've read that Bob Kane (Robert Kahn) patterned his Bruce Wayne after Grant.
That's also kind of the way Lewis Wilson played Batman in the serial of 1942.
The worst was Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot feigninig a a Grant like voice while he was posing as a rich man, and nearly as bad if not worse was Francis Matthews as Charles Kent in Dracula Prince of Darkness.
Considering America's health care and economy, Mr. Spock no longer sez, "Live long and prosper," but, "Whatever..."
