The Global Warming Denier Anthem

From the makers of the Happy Tree Friends, comes the global warming denier anthem. Just in time for Copenhagen.

Inspired by the animator's denier Dad who has apparently said all of these things (hopefully not the gibberish), this is obviously a satire of global warming deniers, but you can probably trick them into replying, "Yeah, no one will die for another 40,000,000 years!"

This is mostly gibberish, and doesn't hit many of the denier points at all. Kinda disappointed.

Good intentions, but unfortunately insufferable. Had to shut it off about halfway through because it's so immature, badly performed and animated, and basically pointless.

Well, all I can say is that this so-called "global warming" that Al Gore et alii have been talking about has been pumping tons of natural gas through my furnace during our current arctic cold spell.

I like the little cartoon clip, because most deniers I've met have had the same gibberish-laden anthems--no substance and no logic.

As for the Iowan who's 'pumping tons of natural gas' because of our 'current arctic cold spell,' you might want to consider that the issue is global climate change, not 'global warming' in the sense that the Earth will cease to experience winter weather.

We humans seem to devolve into denial or some other rationalization for our rampant hedonism. God forbid we should have to take responsibility for our own bad behaviors...

Remember this article from the BBC? the one that says, "What happened to Global Warming?" you know, the article that caused such consternation among those folks at CRU.

I thought you guys were called crooks and liars? why haven't you been demanding investigations into those scientists who were actually, i don't know, lying?

If you all are right, and we don't need to do anything to clean up our act . . . but do it anyway -- well, then, we've just cleaned up the air a bit and forced manufacturers and chemical plants to cut down on pollution and take responsibility for their actions. Better for all of us.

If, however, we continue in our wasteful ways, ignoring all indications of the potential threat, and you are WRONG . . . well . . .

Humans are responsible for 4% of greenhouse gasses.

The air and water are getting progressively worse as we squeeze the last drops and chunks of fossil fuels out of the planet. And that should be the focus, not on the dubious claims that humans are substantially exacerbating global warming and the build up of greenhouse gases.

And, here is a very short explanation. We are at worst, responsible for 4% of all co2 in the air::

If it is true that humans are responsible for only 3-4% of the CO2 in the atmosphere, then cutting our consumption in half over the 7 billion people on earth would only cut 1.5-2% of greenhouse gases. And what if the oceans are producing more CO2?

How do we stop the other 98%? We don't. The earth is either warming or cooling.
Even if we wanted to completely reverse global warming / climate change, we can not.

We just don't affect it enough to stop or retard it. It may make you feel good to turn down your register, or use your car less, but the % of effect is negligible, and won't stop anything.

Poo poo the NWO people, but, every report says that the very few stand to make a very lot off of trading derivatives from carbon caps.

I think the oil and gas companies are evil profiteers, an oligarchy, which in part runs our government. But, a new bubble will be created from tax dollars, and you will see none of it.
