Rush Limbaugh, the man who got fired from ESPN for, let's face it, being a racist, now wants so buy the St. Louis Rams. I feel bad for the coach because his defensive schemes helped my NY Giants upset Tom Brady and the Patriots in the 2007 Super Bowl. Steve Spagnuolo now has to rebuild a horrible team and if Rush gets in there then he'll probably have to make sure he NEVER uses a black quarterback.
And Limbaugh never disappoints in being a blathering buffoon by saying this about the NBA:

I read that report. As I mentioned already, Rush would probably be a lot happier buying part of another NFL team, like, say, the Chargers. $2 million in political contributions, almost entirely to Republicans.

As someone who is a fan of the NBA, specifically, the San Antonio Spurs, I found this comment extremely offensive. And, FYI, I live in New Jersey so don't think I'm some hayseed. That said, I wonder what Michael Jordan thinks of this. While I'm sure he won't comment at all, his buddy Charles Barkley will not likely be silent. I also remember that when the NBA All Star Game was played it Vegas a couple of years ago, it was a football player who make instigated a fight at a club after the game. I think it was Pacman Jones who threw money into the air saying he'd make it rain. A guy was killed. I'm not really a football fan but, they have more law breakers than any other sport. In fact, I refer to the NFL as the National Felon League. They're also the league that OJ Simpson was a member of and HE'S A MURDERER! There's also Ray Caruth who had his pregnant girlfriend murdered and Michael Vick. I also remember the player from the Ravens who was involved in a murder so when Limpballs says that the NBA is favored by gangs, he might want to retract that statement. I'm sure there are others. I just can't think of them right now but, I'm sure many of you could.

I read a report recently about NFL teams and their contributions to political parties. Rush would blow a gasket to know that the team that contributed the most to Democrats is... the Rams. Comedian would be purchasing a piece of the NFL's most politically liberal franchise! If he wanted to buy into a team more ideologically in line with himself, he'd better consider buying part of the San Diego Chargers, THE most Republican team in the NFL.
In my opinion, Comedian forever screwed himself out of any NFL involvement with his comments about Donovan McNabb. Yes, that includes ownership - and the NFL bylaws states that Comedian and his group would need 24 out of 32 owners to vote "yes" in order for him to get that piece of the team.
Lastly, I should mention that there are a reported six groups interested in buying the Rams. Hopefully, one of the non-Rush groups will buy the team and keep them in St. Louis (even though the Rush group has stated that they'd stay in St. Louis - that group is actually headed by the guy who owns the Blues hockey team).

First, McNabb is still overrated. Yes, he's in the upper half of NFL QBs. He's better than Rex Grossman or Kyle Orton, despite a 4-0 start in Denver. McNabb isn't as good as Tom Brady, Brett Favre, or Ben Roethlisberger, but I would take McNabb over Tony Romo.
Second, basketball has become a thug sport. My father-in-law was a basketball coach at the YMCA years ago. The kind of play that is typical of the NBA would have gotten a kid fouled out before the end of the first half in the YMCA. It's not the game that I played in P.E., where any touching was a foul, and traveling was called very closely.
Third, the fact that a person opposes affirmative action or quotas doesn't make him a racist. As the parent of a white boy, I don't want him failing to get into my alma mater, becasue minority kids with lower SATs and GPAs get admitted in the name of affirmative action and diversity.
On the other hand, I was once walking across the parking lot of an outlet mall near Atlanta in 1994 with my girlfriend and her mother. My girlfriend and I were visiting from Chicago, and her parents had moved a few months earlier from Ohio.
A black family stopped and let us cross their path in front of them. It dawned on me about 30 second later what happened. I couldn't believe it. Even though Andrew Young and Maynard Jackson had both served as Mayor of Atlanta, here were blacks in northeast Georgia still behaving as if they were second-class citizens.
Now, if a white person thinks what happened in the parking lot was perfectly acceptable for the last decade of the 20th Century, he is a racist. I've listened to Rush enough to know that he would be just as shocked as I was, if he was in the same situation.
