More Hate Voicemails directed at ACORN.

Vile audio above) Since John McCain decided to jump on the Limbaugh/Hannity hate-fest directed at ACORN to try and help his campaign, we've seen violent and disgusting rhetoric directed at ACORN. As we've written about many times before, right wing talk radio is producing a very destructive strain of American citizens. Of course, not every person that listens to their shows becomes psychos, but a good many certainly are trending in that direction.

And for nearly two weeks, ACORN offices across the nation have been subjected to an onslaught of racist and threatening voicemails and emails. We have secured copies of some of the most disturbing and offensive messages and have reproduced them below in order to show the very real consequences of the Right Wing’s overheated and misplaced “voter fraud” rhetoric.
“Hi, I was just calling to let you all know that Barack Obama needs to get hung. He's a fu*&ing ni**er, and he's a piece of shit. You guys are fraudulent, and you need to go to hell. All the ni*&ers on oak trees. They're gonna get all hung honeys, they're gonna get assassinated, they're gonna get killed.”
And then we have this one:
"You liberal idiots. Dumb shits. Welfare bums. You guys just f&*king come to our country, consume every natural resource there is, and make a lot of babies. That's all you guys do. And then suck up the welfare and expect everyone else to pay for your hospital bills for your kids. I just say let your kids die. That's the best move. Just let your children die. Forget about paying for hospital bills for them. I'm not gonna do it. You guys are lowlifes. And I hope you all die."

#1. threatening a political candidate is a felony. There is no reason why the first ( )*( ) can't be tracked down and prosecuted.
#2. Link Palin and McCain's hate speech and you have inciting violence, which I believe is also a felony.

Since Reagan did away with the fairness doctrine, hate mongers like limbaugh, hannity and coulter have been able to incite hatred with impunity and now, we are reaping what they have sown. We are a Mexican-American family living in the Florida Panhandle. Born in the USA but still reeling from the hatred and racism. My husband serves this country in the Air Force and has for the last 17 years, yet we still get comments about being illegal.
In a way it's a good thing that this type of garbage is happening, just proves to the world that we as Americans haven't come as far as we say we have.
I truly believe that this is a time in which America has to find its soul and conscience. But as long as people put their heads in the sand about racist occurrences happening on U.S. soil, this crap will happen and more.

I worked one summer between college semesters gathering petition signatures for ACORN, it was to call for action by the local government to address the fact that Memphis had the highest percentage of rape in the country at the time...It was hot and exhausting walking door to door asking people to sign the petition. It is easy to see why some contract laborers would just put names on the paper to get it over with. As it was, after hearing one too many testimonials on how rape had affected people personally, I quit and waitressed for the rest of the summer instead.
The hate-mongering by the GOP is inexcusable. ACORN is just one easy target.

McCain was the guest speaker at ACORN in 2006 and spoke of what a great job they were doing and he gave his total support. Now that he losing he will cut them off. Right now the company that the RNC hired are changing voters from Democrat to Republican without the people knowing it. But that's not fraud because a Republican is doing it. There will always be some people who cheat ask Bush, but to blame the hold company is wrong. Studies have found that only 150 cases have been found as fraud and none have gone to vote in an election since 1970 and only 115 convicted cases in 38 years doesn't seem like a crime wave.

I live in a small town in Oregon. I noticed that our local paper had, on the front page, a photo of a portable toilet and a big pile of blue Obama/Biden signs on the ground beside it. The signs are being systematically stolen around town, and this batch, at least, was hidden inside the porta-potty. Nice, huh? This is an affluent suburb and generally liberal, but these idiots are everywhere. About six months ago I saw that someone had written "Bush/ Chainey [sic] 2012".

When are we going to rise above all the petty issues and start talking about things that really affect our lives, like achieving ENERGY INDEPENDENCE. Obama and McCain both say that is their top priority, however they say it will take 10 years (conveniently after they would be out of office).
There are technologies available today to give us Clean, Renewable ENERGY in a year even (especially if we took just a fraction of what is being spent in Iraq).
I am not talking about BS stuff like bio, nuclear, coal or more oil, I am talking about wind, solar, tidal, geothermal and electric/magnetic (also hydrogen using Tesla methods not conventional methods). The best thing about these is that they are abundant, completely clean, and renewable.
Whoever gets elected needs to be reminded that this is the top priority and not allowed to slack off on this. Look up Tesla and geothermal energy and check out some videos on it, also zeitgeist:addendum for more info.

A man was just arrested in California for forging the names of petitioners onto Republican registrations. His company, YPM or Young Political Majors, tricked people into signing petitions into order to then register them as Republicans. The LA Times broke this story last week but now an arrest has been made. YPM has done this in past elections and it is paid by "JSM, Inc." which is connected, I think, to Arno Political Consultants. The Republican party is certainly involved, perhaps Rove. This is the story which should be making headlines, not ACORN. Everybody--please check it out and help get it publicized on TV.

Does this gibberish come from Bill O' ? From Malkin? How do these people manage to survive and fit into society without their tiny heads exploding from the contradictions in their world views? Have they been blind and deaf from birth? Because thats some mighty powerful inanity.
With all the talk about Bill Ayers, I hope those of you who, (unlike myself were not around in the 60's)to understand what was going in the States, have googled "The Weathermen" and read about all the key players in this group.
These are not rag-tag dummies who did not find any love at home, so they ran away. They came from affluent families, got an education, saw the world (and many times, the darker places) and saw some areas in the US Gov't and it's people where their country could get better at being a world leader.
I remember the Vietnam War, Kent State, the folk songs well and nothing that is being done today, compares with the effort the kids made back then. Just the limited resources they had.
I almost feel in reading their story, instead of distancing yourselves from this group, more people should support their basic agenda. Get the kids home from the war!

What is happening to this country? We pride ourselves on being the land of the free, home of the brave, yet young adults, who obviously have no sense of moral fiber, leave hateful messages on a phone? Or the very same people send emails to threaten and destroy peoples trust in mankind? I know that racism and unjust stereotypes exist, but as a Christian or someone who practices my life to be like Christ, I am compelled to stand up for this nation and state that enough is enough. Christ would not and could not condone such irrational behavior. Step outside of your fear. See what is being perpetuated on you. Understand that you are in control of your mind, your heart and more importantly your soul.
As an ordained minister, I cry out for peace and understanding. It is about this country, not fear, not who is better than whom. It is about what is better for us...all of us! I ask that those of you who pray will do so and those of you who do not, will cry out for peace!
But I'll also be right there with a baseball bat. I believe in trying to give our fellow man the benefit of the doubt, but when hands are laid on me or someone who cannot defend themselves....all bets are off.
YOU MUST TURN OVER THE TABLES AND THROW THEM OUT! Jesus loved peace, always try peace first...but never let the thieves run the temple! Keep Praying and BE safe!
There is a very real threat of violence here. As the election draws closer, the rhetoric will become more heated and the hatred stoked.

These people just delivered a serious threat. Isn't that against the law? Huh? Isn't the government tapping in and listening to our calls to prevent this kind of thing? You kidding me?
