There's an interesting book (that's available for free) by Bob Altemeyer, called: The Authoritarians. It's a 40 year study that shows that people who are Authoritarian tend to be sociopaths.
They also tend to enjoy inflicting pain, have not empathy for others, and are morally bankrupt. All they know how to do is follow.
They also tend to make up their own reality in an attempt to support their views. They tend to get flustered and very hostile when people point out flaws in their worldviews.
They also tend to be a LOT more violent than other people.
The GOP is an Authoritarian structure.
Look it up. Professor Altemeyer wanted his book to be available for free so anyone who wanted to look up the facts themselves could just download it and read it.

The one I can't stand is this skank this used to be on Air America, and along with Mike Malloy have 15 minutes of solid material, but the rest of the time is filled with splutter.
